Honda Gold Wing, Harley Road King, S55 and oh yeah, a Ford GT

2 cars and 2 bikes this afternoon, all at the same place (after washing a Cayenne and F-150 at another location). For a change, I had a nice air conditioned warehouse to work in. So clean inside, I felt compelled to mop up after my son and I finished. The S55 was outside but under covered parking.

Pretty nice setup, eh?

First up, a Harley-Davidson Road King. Both it and the Gold Wing have been on the road pretty regularly, including a trip to Colorado. Bugs galore! Washed it down with Optimum No Rinse and a plethora of brushes. There were some swirls and light scratches on the tank, so that got my Optimum Compound/Clearkote RMG mix using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads. Actually was easier to navigate the Cyclo than the PC! I followed with Vanilla Moose by hand on the tank and fenders and my son got all the chrome with VM. Finished it off with Poorboy's Natty's Blue by hand.

The lighting was decent for working, barely adequate for pics-but as you can see with these first two pics, the flash was too much and washed out the shot.

No flash:

Not so much with the tank shot though.

Full bike shot-no windshield or saddle bags on the bike:

The Gold Wing was in better shape overall, probably because it is pretty new. I had waxed it with NXT Paste when I was out there this past April, still had decent slickness and gloss, plus the bugs came off pretty easily. The chrome and plastic was hand polished by my son with Vanilla Moose and he waxed it with Natty's Blue.

Some pics are with flash, some aren't. Didn't seem to make as much difference with this bike.

=============

2002 Mercedes S55. Excellent shape, it got Prime and AJ in April, the paint was still looking really good. My son detailed the interior (a shot or two on the next round of pics, ran out of film before I could take them) while I washed it and then he waxed it with Meguiars #16. The paint ended up as wet looking as anything we've done all summer.

I wanted to get some sun shots too, but I didn't have the keys and the owner was in a meeting so I had to shoot it where it sat.

2005 Ford GT. Had only been driven on nice days since I polished it with Prime and sealed with Acrylic Jett in April. Gave it an ONR wash and Acrylic Jett Trigger to freshen up the protection.

Interior shot even though all we did was vacuum:

Like the S55, we didn't have the keys so we took the pics where it sat.

Here is a shot of my helped, my son Chris with the Ford GT. As you can see, this is a very low car!

High school hockey and football plus a year of college ball combined with unlimited access to the weight room will do that.

Nice little collection there .

That Gold Wing is like a small car... Nice work on both bikes, I know how hard they can be .

Love the GT, but the interior still looks "so Ford" .

Iunno, track, and soccer never did that to me. Plus hours working out, I'm still slim, but cut. I can't put on mass.

Oh well, anyways, cars look amazing as always Scott. Excellent work.

Awesome setup. And I really like how the goldwing came out...but actually, I think I'm most impressed with your photography in general - I really need to get a good digital camera (I've used my phone on occasion, but the pictures never look good).

Just a little bit of trivia about the Goldwing. Not sure if it is still true today but a few years ago Honda was saying that there are a greater number of parts in a Goldwing than there are in an Accord.
