01' Harley Fatboy Custom

This bike belongs to a good friend of my boss. He is a bike fanatic and owns 3 or 4 of them. He decided to sell this one because he never uses it. The bike has been sitting in the showroom here at work getting pretty dusty, so I decided to give a good cleaning the other day and took some new pictures for the website. It's been a while since I've detailed a motorcycle and I have to say it was fun, except my finger tips are sore!

My process:

Washed

Dried with a microfiber towel

Blew out water from cracks with air compressor

Polished with Werkstatt's prime by hand

Zaino Z6 wipedown

Zaino Z5 pro (ZFX'd)

Zaino Z2pro (ZFX'd) x2

Topped with Souveran

Wicked metal polish on all the chrome

OMG I love those flames. I really want to do that to my bike. You did a number on it, good job. I love black/chrome. I don't want to post pics of my bike now.

Oh boy...I can see this being a total PITA!
How's that Wicked Metal Polish? Your results are great with it. Any better than say, Flitz or NXT Polysh?...ease of use?

It actually was a fun detail, but only because the bike was in excellent shape to begin with. It only took me about 3 hours total.

I haven't used Flitz or NXT, but this stuff rocks! Very easy on and very easy off. Some aluminum polishes are a pain to wipe off, but this stuff wipes right off just like wax and leaves a great shine. It's good for all kinds of metal too.
