Mom's Lexus, no clear coat on an '03 Accord? another Accord, F250, Cayenne, Z06

Just a few of the Z06. The previous week, I had polished with Werkstatt's Prime Carnauba using a white LC polishing pad, during the week, he had the graphics on the side and a clear bra installed and wanted me to start laying on carnauba, since the paint is yellow, I decided to go for maximum wetness and applied Poorboy's Natty's Blue. Sorry no outside shots, he had to leave to get the windows tinted and just didn't have time. I'll be back to add another layer of Natty's Blue the first Saturday in July, hopefully we can get some pics then.

=============

My Mom's 2000 ES300. My boys and I knocked it out in 90 minutes on Father's Day, my Mom's gift for her birthday in early June and Mother's Day. Went with Werkstatt's Prime using white Cyclo finishing pads (Prime works incredibly well with the Cyclo, pretty much disappears into the paint with two passes) and sealed with Acrylic Jett Trigger.

I got this shot in the sun and then got called in for dinner (On the Border fajitas)...

I ate, then came back out and had lost the sun and really didn't feel like moving all the other vehicles around in the drive to pull it around front.

2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Detailed it 4 weeks ago using Menzerna 106/Clearkote's RMG mix 70/30 using a white LC polishing pad and topped with Pinnacle Souveran. I took these pics 4 weeks and 2 days plus 3 Optimum No Rinse washes after the detail and was very pleased with how great the paint still looked-especially using a carnauba on black paint on a daily (yes, daily) driver.

=============

I finished the last 3 cars from the law firm this week, for a total of 11 details over the past 10 days. Between 10 am and 3 pm, no shade unless it is cloudy. 2 steps on the paint is what the owner of the company was paying for, although a few of them really needed deeper polishing...like this 2002 Accord.

I should have taken some interior shots, the Skittles crushed all over the back seat where her son sits was just a lovely rainbow of stickiness. The paint was really bad, the front end was repainted and had a couple small areas of burnt paint, I guess from when they buffed it, plus a massive amount of stone chips and tons of random scratches. Plus, taking the pics at 1 pm in the full sun really doesn't make for good picture taking, I think I need to start using my son's digital in these situations because the pictures look really washed out.

Anyway....I ended up using Optimum Polish and the white Cyclo finishing pads and topped with Poorboy's EX. I got out all the rotary holograms except the couple areas with burnt paint which still had a slightly hazy look to them and most of the halo swirls but the deeper scratches remained. Not much you can do when you are limited to what they are willing to pay for and the owner of the car didn't want to chip in for deeper polishing because her lease is up in 3 months. It did look a lot better though and she was really happy I got all the Skittle mess cleaned up.

Not sure what caused the scratch you see near the headlight on the hood but it was pretty deep.

Did the last two at the law firm today, glad they were both white and it was mostly cloudy. Okay, I was glad they were both white until I realized when washing the Accord that it didn't have a clear coat!!!!. News flash to Honda....it is about time you starting clear coating white Accords. I mean seriously, this car was built in April 2003. Get with the program!

White tends to wash out on film but you should be able to see a difference-

Before:

After polishing with Meguiars #80 using white Cyclo finishing pads:

After sealing with Poorboy's EX:

2002 Ford F250. Overall in decent shape, polished with Optimum Polish and white Cyclo finishing pads and topped with Poorboy's EX.

Looks like I'll get 40-50 applications out of a jar. Not bad for $15.

Love it so far, just haven't had a chance to try it out on anything really bad and do a multi-step job. Definitely removes paint transfers more quickly than the PC.

All hondas are cleared from the factory. This must have been a really poor repaint.

Nope. I have yet to detail a white Accord with a clear coat-4th gen, 5th gen, 6th gen and now 7th gen. The plastic bumpers and mirrors are clear coated but not the body of the car.

They look great Scott. That's a ton of cars to do in a short amount of time.
I'm looking forward to getting my PB products, especially the EX to try out. You make everything look great with it.
