Beach Detail-Ford F150

This weekend I had the chance to finally spend some time on my F150 at the beach and do a full detail. The truck hadn't been detailed since before winter but had been maintained pretty well. Friday was a beautiful day and I was able to take the day off from work and devote the whole day to the truck. I had the chance to try the new Sonus Swirlbuster pad and polish and I must say that I am very impressed with it. I did get some minor dusting but it could be that I was using too much product.

Process:

Wash with Foam Gun and NXT soap mix
Clay with Mother Clay
Hood and Fenders: Sonus SB Pad and Polish via PC
Rest of Car: Optimum Polish and LC White Pad via PC
Poorboys EX with LC Finishing PC via PC
Trim/Tonneau Cover: Sonus Total Eclipse
Tires: Megs Insane Tire Shine (Liquid-non-aersol)

Looks great! Did the OP and LC white on the rest of the truck get to swirl free? Also what was work time per panel with the OP? Just seeing if Optimum has reformulated to not have such a lng flash time.

You can work the Optimum polishes a very long time. I also got now dusting. I used the OP on the rest of the truck and got the majority of the swirls out.

Really nice work Pat. The paint looks really rich and deep.

EX seems to be pretty durable too.

I am interested to see how it holds up. I plan on topping with Natty's Blue.
