My new toy, more of the Z06, plus M3, G35, STS, F-bird, Cavalier

Here are a few more shots of the 2006 Z06 I did the other day in different lighting. You can find more about it here: http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72784

2003 BMW M3. Last waxed it more than a year ago, he hardly every drives it so the paint still looks really good. Just hit with Werkstatt's Prime and a white LC polishing pad and Acrylic Jett by hand. Sorry the lighting on some of the pics isn't that great, not much room on the driveway and shade trees covering about half the available space.

Here is why he doesn't drive the M3 too often (mostly just a weekend toy now), this '03 Cavalier is his daily driver. Unbelievable condition too, usually they are pretty beat to he!!. Not this one, really clean in and out. Very minimal swirling too. He just wanted it protected, not perfect so it got the same treatment as the M3, Prime and AJ.

My younger son hates to have his picture in my threads, too bad I caught his reflection very clearly on the rear fender above the tire in this shot.

My new toy, just bought it along with a lot of pads and the carpet scrubbers. My wallet is feeling light after this purchase and $716 to fix my car's a/c last week. Good thing I am so booked up this week!

I think just by the reflections you can see which side of the hood is in the process of being polished and which has only been washed.

The carpet scrubbers work great! Just sprayed with my Woolite/water mixture and ran the Cyclo over the mats for about 20-30 seconds.

My sons and I did all these today, mostly in the full sun. Used the Cyclo (thanks to Larry, my Optimum rep for meeting me at this office prior to me starting on the cars with the new Cyclo and everything I needed to jump right in) on all three and all got Clearkote's Vanilla Moose using the white Cyclo finishing pads (seems just as aggressive as the PC with a polishing pad) and topped with Poorboy's EX w/carnauba. Killer direct sun combo!

So Scott . . . what are your thoughts on the PC vs. the Cyclo? Awesome work BTW.

What made you go with the Cyclo over the Rotary?

excellent choice of machine. I had the chance to test a smaller unit from a Chinese manufacturer who's trying to make a knock off of it and was quite impressed with the results. A little awkward at first and more cumbersome i found. But I only had it for a little while. Nice work as always.. wow ! dripping wet M3..

The Cyclo is a lot smoother and usually the weight of the machine is enough where the PC requires pressure. Not quite as maneuverable though. That may change as I continue to use it though. I had borrowed one about 18 months ago so I was already pretty familar with it.

Beason-it has been a lot longer since I used a rotary vs a PC. Plus, now with the change in Cyclo pricing, it is nearly $100 less than it used to be, plus my Optimum distributor carries the Cyclo and all the pads and accessories.

FujiFast-really happy with it so far.

I want a cyclo. I'm tired of melting backing plates, and pads falling apart after 4-5 uses.
