1996 Ferrari 348 Spider, '04 Silverado, a couple LS430s

2004 Chevy Silverado. Detailed their Honda Pilot a few weeks ago, asked me to come back to detail their truck. Really nice truck, but I miss the '66 Mustang 2 + 2 they used to have me clean.

Paint was in decent condition, interior was a bit dingy but no major stains. Interior was cleaned by my older son using Woolite/water and dressed the vinyl with Meguiars Interior QD (on a side note, the vast majority of my customers love the no gloss-brand new look it leaves!) and the leather got Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner.

I've found with light swirls, a 50/50 mix of Optimum's Polish and Compound works great on GM paint and it worked well here, plus it left an LSP ready finish. I buffed it off with Optimum Car Wax and topped with Poorboys EX-P.

=============

1996 Ferrari 348 Spider. Last detailed in late July 2005 using Optimum Polish, #80 Speed Glaze, Vanilla Moose and Poorboy's EX w/carnauba. His daily driver is a black C6 (plus he just bought a late 80s Rolls Royce Silver Spur-I can hardly wait to get my hands on that one!) so the Ferrari is now a real garage queen. No suprise the previous detail was holding up very well, still incredibly slick feeling and the paint was deep and wet. I know it is no longer driven in the rain either. Anyway, just gave it an Optimum No Rinse wash.

Oops, forgot this shot of the truck....

==========

2003 Lexus LS430. Last done in October using Prime and Acrylic Jett. Here it is early June and it still was noticably slick and had a wet, reflective glow still. No doubt Optimum No Rinse Wash and the polymers it contains played a roll in how the car looked and felt but still...8 full months since it was last sealed. I just applied a coat of Acrylic Jett Trigger after an ONR wash. I see this car about twice a month, I'm interested in seeing if Trigger holds up as well as regular AJ.

=============

2004 Lexus LS430. Another regular customer, I wash one and wash/wax the other every 6 weeks, did their Civic last time, the Lexus was up for waxing this time. I had last used Detailer's Pride's Premium Surface Shield (previous time as well) and a close inspection revealed the paint was still swirl free and had decent slickness. I decided to try Acrylic Jett alone to see how it holds up without Prime in light of the near flawless condition of the paint. As usual, my camera had a hard time capturing the true wetness and gloss of white paint. The last shot came pretty close though.

Best $6 product I have. Soaks in quickly, mild leather scent and very light sheen. Since it is a liquid, it doesn't clog ventilated seats either.

Whoa. That ferrari looks incredible. I'm starting to get jealous of all the nice cars you're doing though.

OCW + EX-P is one of my current favorite combos, really fast to apply too.

Steve-nice cars are one of the benefits of the Dallas area.

Besides, don't feel too bad, look what I have to do tomorrow (customer's pic):

Got rust?

Yep. Used OCW to remove the buffing residue of Optimum Polish/Compound. Since neither has any real cleaning ability, it really doesn't matter what order you use them in, however, since I use OCW to remove the polish, I finished with EX-P. I have never used OCW as a topper after a sealant or carnauba.

So I guess you got a new shipment of JW products. How do you like the trigger so far? Did you get the Prime Strong as well?
