Silver Mercedes CL600 w/full Lorinser Package

Hey all,
It's been a while since I last posted. I have been pretty busy over the past couple months. I'm actually in the middle of building a new detail shop which has been taking up all my time outside of work. I have a ton of details to post up, so I'll start with the oldest one in my camera.

This is a Mercedes CL 600 equipped with a full Lorinser package. All in all it was in fairly decent shape, but needed some attention to get it looking it's best. As you can see, the wheels needed a good polish as well as the paint. The interior just needed a quick once over.

Here is my process:

Wash complete exterior

Clean wheels, tires & engine compartment

Clayed complete exterior with Opti-Clay

Buffed complete exterior with Intensive polish using a foam cutting pad

Buffed complete exterior with Optimum polish using a foam finishing pad

UPP x2 by hand

Polished wheels with Wicked Metal Polish

Super Blue dressing on the tires & wheel wells

Befores:

Afters:

Car looks great, as expected! How long does it take you to do a full detail? I was just wondering because your quality of work is so good I cant imagine that you do more than 1 car a day? But then again, Im not doing this everyday so Im sure Im alot slower than you pro's!

Hey Rick! Great work as always on a great car. Are you leaving Bay State Motorsports to open your own shop or are they building you a detail shop on the lot? If you are opening up your own shop where will it be located? Still in Medford?

Excellent work Rick, you can tell you took those photos a while ago.. snow... shudder. Is the color difference intentional with the Lorinser package I wonder? If not they need to work on color matching for their skirting. Good luck with the new shop, the Viper in the background looks great too! Thanks for sharing.

LightngSVT- A complete detail normally takes me somewhere between 4 and 10 hours, but there has been a few that I've worked on for a couple days off and on.

Mikeyc- I will still be working for Bay State full time. The shop is built right in the back of Bay State, so I will be able to do all my work there as well as all my side work. I'll have to post up a few pictures to share with you guys. Just waiting on the electrical, lighting and insulation to be finished. Can't wait!!

These pictures were taken back in February as you can see from the snow in the lot.

Looks terrific Rick.

I like the Lorinser wheels that look like propellers as well. Have you seen those?

Rick,

Your PM box is full...

Do you have any time in the near future for a ZR-1 and Silverado full detail?

thanks

-Bill
