Souveran'ed SL500, nasty interior (decent exterior) Lexus LX470

1997 Mercedes SL500, only 45,000 actual miles. Owned by the proverbial little old lady who drives it to church, the beauty shop...and the gym! She keeps it very clean, especially the interior but still has me fully detail it 2-3 times a year. Interior was excellent, took maybe 15 minutes to deep clean it with Woolite/water and dressed the vinyl with Armor All (she likes a little shine) and the leather with Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner. No befores, no real need, could almost be interchangable with the afters!

Exterior was pretty good-absolutely top notch (mostly) factory paint, very minimal orange peel, but some water spots on the hood from sprinklers. Used Meguiars DACP with a Meguiars polishing pad to remove them, then the whole car got my Menzerna 106FF/Clearkote RMG mixture, buffed off with Optimum Car Wax and sealed with Pinnacle Souveran Paste.

2004 Lexus LX470, last detailed by me about a year ago. Exterior still looked pretty good but the interior suffered at the hands of a 4-year-old. And I mean suffered!

Befores:

Cleaned with Woolite/water mixture and took the pics. I spent about 3 hours on the interior and when I finished, it was nearly 5 pm, leaving me about 3 hours to wash, polish, wax, etc the interior and still have enough light for pics, so these pics are just the results of the cleaning, no dressing at all (did finish with Meguiars Interior QD on vinyl and TW Leather Conditioner on the leather though). Sorry the angles aren't exactly the same, my time machine is busted, couldn't go back and check them , clouds had rolled in too so the lighting isn't the same but I think you get the idea....

The stain around the base of the driver's seat on the right, near the console didn't come out completely but was about 80% removed. Once I stopped drawing the color of the stain, it isn't coming out any more.

The exterior was really good, just fingernail scratches under the door handles. Meguiars ScratchX took care of them and quickly! Went with Prime using a blue Propel finishing pad (exterior glass too) and Acrylic Jett Trigger by hand. Finished the exterior with about 25 minutes of daylight to spare and snapped the pics....then dressed the dressed the interior. And yes, I did get the rear mudflaps too.

Good to see that the old lady likes her car to be in pristine condition.

From reading this board, it seems that older people appreciate a well cared for car more than the rest of us (younger people).

Amazing job on both Scott.

Jorge.

It all looks awesome!
I didn't realize that carpet was that bad until I saw the after picture...(alright, it's early here...)!
If I ever get a black car, I have no doubt what my go to products will be. I just love the combo you used above.
