Bring back a single stage red Porsche 944, plus a Boxster and a Cayenne

A plethora of Porsches!

But first, a few more of the '05 Tahoe from the other thread (Optimum Polish/Compound blend and Werkstatt twins):

==============

2004 Porsche Cayenne. Worked on it about 10 days ago, Menzeran 106FF with a LC polishing pad, residue removed with Optimum Car Wax and topped with Poorboy's EX w/carnauba. Today when I washed it with Optimum No Rinse, I put on a layer of Werkstatt's Carnauba Jett. Definitely made the paint darker.

Just one pic, I've posted this particular Porsche a few times.

===============

2000 Porsche Boxster. This car was in a garage in the downtown Dallas area during the flooding in mid March. Water up past the door sills, so the interior got pretty wet. They had pulled out the seats and pulled up the carpeting last week, some areas on the passenger side were still wet! I used my wetvac to pull water out of the carpet and foam underneath, then set a towel under to help pull the rest of the water out of the foam. I had to change out the towel 3 times before it was ending up only damp. Had to use the wetvac a few more times too before it was mostly dry. Other than that, the interior was pretty clean. The car has only 16,000 miles on it and has never been driven in the rain. Just shampooed the carpets and cleaned and dressed the leather. Did the seats too, but they aren't going back in until tomorrow. One thing for sure, it is much easier to clean a small interior with the seats out and the top down! No pics, wouldn't have shown much since the inside was pretty clean to begin with.

The car had been waxed once but with the low miles it still looked decent and no swirls that I could see. Werkstatt's Prime with a blue Propel pad really added some shine though and then I finished it off with Acrylic Jett. Pics aren't that great, no way was I moving it out with no seats in it!

1987 Porsche 944 Turbo. Single stage paint. Red. Fun car to do!

This is what I was starting with. Honestly, it didn't appear as bad as the owner made it out to be. However, the paint on the hood was especially hard and swirled. Unfortunately, the before shot of the hood really doesn't show them. The actual body of the car wasn't too bad though.

I started off with Optimum Polish on the hood (Meguiars polishing pad) but it was real slow go on the swirls so I switched to Optimum's Hyper Compound and a yellow LC cutting pad. Ah! Much better! However, it didn't seem to be removing the oxidation evenly although it remove a lot! I switched over to Meguiars DACP and a green Propel lite cut pad which really took out the oxidation evenly.

This is after HC and the first pass with DACP:

I then polished out the rest of the car with DACP and the green Propel pad, then followed with Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze and a Meguiars polishing pad. As you can see by the movement of the sun, I spent quite some time polishing.

With this first shot, I tried to get the sun where it was in the first two pics:

This is where the sun actually was:

After finishing it off with Meguiars #16 Pro Paste Wax:

Here I have polished the door with DACP and the fender is untouched.

Finished shots:

I think this car came out as deep and wet as anything I have done. I am really happy with how it turned out. The owner was too. He also took pics but hasn't sent them yet.

This shot is my favorite!

Oh yeah, Meguiars #38 on the spoiler and black rubber.

Scott, Very nice as always!

CJ is so nice to apply to about anything on the "darker" side it seems.

Don't worry the boxter looks very good!

Now I see the 944.

Nice work as always. I like that last Tahoe shot, looks brochure-worthy.

Oh yeah, the pads....

NT2SHBBY-not for sale, not stock either. About 270 hp now, more to come. He is also looking into getting a 968 as well.
