Dark Blue Range Rover

This SUV belongs to one of my good customers mother. It is a couple years old and was in need of a good detail. It had normal light to medium scratches from automated carwashes and from snowbrushes dragged along the paint over the past couple years. Last month, she scraped the drivers side rear quarter panel over the rear wheel well on a wooden deck which transferred paint onto the panel and made a slight dent which I had removed by my local ding man. I was able to wetsand & compound the scratch left behind with 3M microfinishing compound which removed 90% of it.

I have to say, the paint was very nice to work with. There is a lot of paint on this SUV and I thought It was going to take much longer than it did.

My process:

Wash complete exterior

Clean wheels, tires & engine compartment

Clayed with Opti-Clay

Wetsanded & compounded rear quarter panel damage

Buffed complete exterior with IP

Buffed complete exterior with OP

Hand application of Collinite Insulator wax

Topped with Natty's Blue

Dressed tires with Super Blue dressing

Beautiful results! Those trucks are really nice, must be a pleasure to detail one!

Oh, and I really would like to find some Collinite IW and give it a go on my car. Looks quite nice and I like really durable products too!
