Silver 2007 Mercedes S550

This car is one of the first S550's to hit the ground and I had the pleasure to work on it.
Obviously the car is brand new, but I wanted to protect the paint from the sand & salt around here. It was a pretty easy process.

Washed exterior

Cleaned wheels & tires

Hand application of Werkstatt's Prime on the exterior and wheels

2 coats of Acrylic Jett by hand

Wiped down paint with Acrylic Glos

Super Blue Dressing on tires & wheel wells

OCW on exterior glass

PICS:

The detail looks great, but man, those cars just don't do it for me. Yucko on the design.

Really?? I think the new design is awesome. It looks like a mini Maybach.

That's the first thing I thought it was without reading the title.

Silver helps this car lots! It looks like a machine and I'm liking that.

Looking like a Maybach is a bad thing even though it does. The Maybach isn't a good looking car at all to me but it is "nice."

I just browsed MBUSA and aside from all of the technological marvels this car has, I was most impressed with this one very simple, but also very Autopian option:

2007 Accessories
Trunk Handle
Made of stainless steel in polished or satin finish, this Trunk Handle attaches to the license plate to help prevent fingerprints and reduce the possibility of scratching the finish on your S-Class.

* Available in two versions:
stainless steel in polished or satin finish

Great work as always Rick. Almost looks as good as my silver paint..

Benz does a wonderful silver paint and these new S-Class are very stately.

That first pic was probably even better in person as silver flake tends to really confuse the digital chip in most cameras unless you control the exposure manually or meter off subject.

Great detail.

All I can say is the 7 Series isn't alone in the controversial looks category anymore...

MrLEXUS2u is an unknown quantity at this point
It does have a Maybach look to it. While I opt for a more sporty look this MB does look impressive.
