BMW 540i, 330ci, Acrylic Jett @ 3.5 months, more of the Camaro

Text from the first two pics of that Camaro I posted last time:

The exterior got Optimum's Hyper Compound using a Lake Country cutting pad and I notice no marring at all, this car definitely had some hard paint! HC did a great job on the sides and back but did only so-so on the repainted hood. I think a lot of the problems are under the clear though (and you can see in the front shot the color doesn't match too well) so not much can be done other than give it more shine. I then followed with Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze and a Lake Country polishing pad. I went with #80 for its light filling properties, definitely made the hood look better. I finished with Poorboy's Natty's Blue Paste by hand.

=============

Acrylic Jett appearance at 3.5 months (applied in late October 05, pics taken on 2/07/06). The look of Acrylic Jett really holds up well, and the slickness is still very good. This Lexus is washed a couple times a month by me using QEW until early this year when Optimum No Rinse became available.

...and a high resolution shot, linked so it doesn't stretch the page:

==============

I detailed the exterior of this 2006 BMW 330ci in mid December (this is the one with the nasty dealer tire dressing sling) using Werkstatt's Prime and Acrylic Jett. I took these shots after washing it with Optimum No Rinse (ONR?) on 02/08/06, so the application of the Werkstatt twins is nearly 2 months old. Still has a nice wet look and very good slickness. The pics of the original detail were a bit dark, these ones are definitely better and show off the lines of the final un-Bangles 330ci.

2001 BMW 540i. Overall in very good shape, not suprising given the 15,000 actual miles on a nearly 5 year old car! Some scuffs, bird doodie etchings, etc in the trunk lid, over the driver's rear fender and door. The rest of the car looked pretty pristine.

I couldn't get my camera to focus well enough on the trunk lid (I need a macro lens) but it worked well enough on the driver's side rear fender. Really doesn't show exactly how bad it was though. I thought I had the same shot in all three pics but looking at them now, I see I didn't frame the pics the same. Sorry.

Before:

After polishing with Optimum's Hyper Compound and a Lake Country yellow cutting pad-finished down pretty well for an aggressive combo!

Followed by Optimum Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad and Vanilla Moose 2 with a Lake Country white polishing pad:

After polishing the whole car with Vanilla Moose 2, I then applied Carnauba Moose Wax with a Meguiars finishing pad. And because the 540 is my favorite BMW, lots of pics!

Great pics of Optimum in action, that 540 is looking insane. Crazy wetness and ridiculous depth.

on the 540.

Must make time to polish the beater and get some AJ on it. I work at the airport so that should really test it out.

Great work on the 540 Scott. I love the rear shot on the 330ci as well.
