Hummer H2, pair of black G35 coupes, Carrera 996 and BMW X5

First, a couple sun pics I promised of the 2004 Tahoe in the last thread. This one, to be exact.

I one stepped it using Meguiars #20 Polymer Sealant and a Meguiars polishing pad. Here are a couple sun shots I took the next morning when I was out at the same office complex detailing an H2.

==============

2003 Hummer H2. New customer. This H2 is a daily driver and was in really good conditon overall. Interior was about as nice as I have seen on a 3 year old daily driver. Exterior was really good too. Really easy detail for a Hummer.

I used Werkstatt's Prime with a blue Propel finishing pad and Acrylic Jett by hand. I also found that a bright sunny day doesn't show this color off well on film. Still, you can see it has a nice gloss and as crisp reflections as the orange peel allowed, especially on the shady side of the H2.

2000 Porsche Carrera 996 and 2001 BMW X5. Did these two today and it rained pretty much all day. Still misting lightly when I finished so I had to take these pics in the garage. Yeah, horrible color problems caused by the overhead lighting but they still show how nice the shine was.

Both vehicles were in spectacular condition, so nice he left me notes in the X5 to point out the only real stains that existed, as you can see by this cell phone pic of one I took (it says "light stain")

Anyway, the paint was also excellent so I used Prime with a blue Propel finishing pad and Acrylic Jett by hand. Again, I apologize for the horrible picture quality. I hope next time the weather will allow outside shots.

===============

I got a new version of Vanilla Moose to test. Doesn't seem to seperate. What it does do is leave a spectacular finish!

This first shot I took after polishing the rear quarter pane using what I will call VM2 and a Lake Country polishing pad, the door is untouched. I last detailed it in early November and the paint still looked really good. I think you can see the rear quarter has a wetter look, although like usual, what is noticable in person isn't always as apparent on film.

This is after polishing the front end in the same manner as listed above.

What do you use to clean the wheel wells, wheels, and tires?

Thanks

2004 Infiniti G35, same one as above.

Vanilla Moose 2 using a Lake Country polishing pad and Carnauba Moose using a Meguiars finishing pad.

The owner of the above G35 brought a friend along with him who had an '03 G35. This one definitely needed more work. It had been detailed about a year ago and as the glaze wore off, the rotary swirls started showing up. I didn't take any before shots, I knew I wouldn't have any sun to compare it against when I finished. As it was, I had to take the pics before waxing!

I started with Optimum Polish using a Lake Country cutting pad, then on to VM2 using a Lake Country polishing pad. I took the pics (at around 20 minutes before sunset) and then finished it up with Carnauba Moose and a Meguiars finishing pad. My complex has pretty good lighting and examining the car under those lights showed no more holograms.

Optimum No-Rinse Wash and Shine and an assortment of brushes. I dress the tires and wheel wells with Armor All.

scott... what kind of durability have you gotten out of #20, and how do you compare it to #21?

I'm intrigued by this VM2 you're using. I'm a hge fan of VM and RMG, CMW for that matter. Besides not separating, what else makes it different? Is there more bite to it? Thanks for any info.

Great work on all the cars! The AJ looks awesome on light colored cars. But, we all knew how sick the VM/CMW tandem on black looks Definately a sleeper combo that deserves more props.
