Town Car Limo, '06 330i, '00 Lexus ES300

2003 Lincoln Town Car Limo. Owned by a regular but it hasn't seen much use lately, he had some interior work done so I hadn't seen it in nearly a year. The car is kept at a storage lot and under a crappy car cover-the inside seams are pretty rough an regularly scratch the car. They are currently looking for a properly lined cover but I really hated putting the old one back on after finishing.

Someone is using the trunk lid as a shelf, had some scuffing and scratches all over it. You can really see them towards the edge of the trunk lid where no clouds are reflected.

After polishing with Optimum Hyper Compound using a Meguiars polishing pad and Optimum Polish using a green Propel lite cut pad. Not pefect but definitely much improved. When I redo it in the spring (after they get a new cover), I'll probably use a cutting pad to see if that can get the rest of them out. I was told to not go overboard with this detail in light of the car cover problems.

Final process:

Optimum Hyper Compound using a Meguiars polishing pad on the hood and trunk lid, Optimum Polish with a green Propel lite cut pad on the whole car, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose using a green Propel pad, Poorboy's Natty's Blue Paste Wax by hand.

2006 BMW 330i. New car, less than 1000 miles on it. Prepped at the dealer, still had some spider swirling and I found a few pad tracers caused by grit getting under the pad on the trunk lid and passenger side rear pillar. Didn't see any rotary holograms though. The color is a real deep metallic blue, looks almost black in the pics.

Getting really good pics was tough since it was about 15-20 minutes prior to sundown when I shot them. The only way to get good depth of field would have been to shoot at 1/10th of a second and without a tripod, the pics would have been blurred. Oh well, not much you can do this time of year.

Optimum Polish with a green Propel lite cut pad, Jeff's Werkstatt Prime with a blue Propel finishing pad, Acrylic Jett by hand.

This pic really shows how wet the finished turned out.

Since I did the above detail at my parent's house (the customer lives in Frisco, I am in north Arlington-a good 60 mile drive for me-meeting at my parents saved us both drive time), I went ahead and detailed the exterior of my Mom's 2000 ES300. My Dad keeps both their car in good shape, regularly hand washes them, uses Quikshine, etc. No time to go nuts on the paint but it really didn't need it anyway.

No convertible, just a fake convertible top. Definitely saved me some polishing time! Just vacuumed it, then wiped it down with a damp MF towel.
