Blue 01' Viper GTS

This is my most recent detail. It's a 2001 Dodge Viper GTS which is 1 of only 81 made in this color combination for this particular year. The car was definitely well maintained by the previous owner, but there were fine scratches on most of the top surfaces which looked liked they were from wiping the car down when it was dirty. Interior was immaculate and only needed a quick once over.

For my process:

Washed the complete exterior, cleaned the wheels and the engine compartment

Clayed complete exterior with Opti-Clay

Spot-buffed a couple heavier scratches with Power Gloss by rotary

Buffed complete exterior with menzerna IP by rotary

Buffed complete exterior with Optimum Polish by rotary

Wiped complete exterior down with IPA solution to remove any oils, etc. from the paint

Hand application of ZFX'd Z2 pro x3

Dressed tires and wheel wells with Kar Kraft Suer Blue dressing

Wetsanded 2 small spots on the wheels and polished all 4 with Wicked Metal Polish

I have to say that I am very impressed the way the car came out because I do not use Zaino that often and haven't tried it on a darker color car until now. The car looks incredible as it is, but I was wondering if it would look any better with a hand application of RMG topped with a coat of Natty's Blue ?? Would it even be worth it or do you think it would look cloudy with all those layers on there ? Just curious...

Here are the pics:

GREAT WORK!!!

Honestly, I don't think its going to get much "better" than Z2 Pro x 3.

SilverLexus has tried a lot of products and he puts Z2 Pro up around Souveran for looks; plus Z2 Pro has durability that will run circles around Souveran.

I saw this car a few days ago on Ebay, and I thought, "man that looks amazing."

Great work!

Rick, another great job. Until I started seeing your posts I had no idea there were so many exotic cars in MA. I barely ever see them except in your posts.

great job.. is the IPA really necessary ? the optimum polish really has that much oils ?

I guess z-pc instead of IPA ?

I wouldn't mix RMG with Zaino.. leave it as is

When you press the little button, the door kind of pops out and then you just pull it open. Kinda neat how it works.
