I had some minor cobwebbing, marring from people rubbing against my car, etc. What you'd expect from a black daily driver used for business every day.
Optimum Polish and Vanilla Moose, both with Meguiars polishing pads, starting with the speed on 5 and then bumping up to 6 for several slow passes. Then went with Red Machine Glaze using a blue Propel finishing pad (speed 4.5) and finished with Carnauba Moose using a Meguiars finishing pad with the speed on 3.5.
Took several pics over the past two days trying to get the best light. I wanted to get a few sun shots but with trying to work and the 20 mph wind covering my car with dust, I'll have to do it when I wash it again.
================
2002 BMW X5. Weekly wash customer. Last waxed in early June with the new version of Poorboy's EX w/carnauba. After washing with Optimum's QEW (should be out this month?), the paint was decently slick and looked pretty good. I figured I'd try Zaino Z8 (the sealant spray) on it to see how it worked on other sealants and because I've heard some say it streaks on black paint. Worked like a charm! Not a single streak, noticable improvement on already slick paint! Looking from untreated to treated panel, it looked like Z8 was trading a little 'carnauba' depth for a more sealant clear reflection. Not worse, not better, but different.

I've been using sealants on it (DP's and Acrylic Jett) and have been looking for something to try the sample of Zaino Z5 I've had for quite some time. The sample of ZFX had dried up but a few have mentioned Z5 works fine without it, just takes a little longer to dry. Since it was a nice, upper 80's early November Dallas day, I gave it a shot.
Z5 seemed to take noticably more effort to apply the ZFX'ed Z2 Pro, similar to NXT it seemed. Maybe it was the green and purple NXT foam pad I was applying it with! Anyway, given that the M Coupe is small and has a soft top, it maybe took 5 minutes to cover the car and it seemed I barely used any product. I cleaned the wheels so it (the Z5) could haze and when I was done, the excess wiped off with no problem at all. I then went over the whole car with Z8...which seemed to add clarity to the paint (good since it is metallic even if the pics don't show it) and a slight increase in slickness.

One of my morning customers was not at his house but his truck and Benz were sitting out in the drive. I called him and he said he needed the truck cleaned but to open his garage, he had a suprise for me. My first thought was he had finished the frame on restoration of his '69 Dodge Dart 340 but when I opened the door, I saw this: 1969 Camaro Z/28 Rally Sport! Original interior, DZ 302 engine and chambered exhaust! Even though the paint looks really good (extremely minimal orange peel), it is not the correct Hugger Orange and the striped are painted on, which is incorrect for the car. He is going to have it painted the original Hugger Orange and have the proper stripe decals applied so the car is correct. Then I get my hands on it!
Chambered exhaust-notice the crimped pipe in place of mufflers....

You're using Zaino?? Wait, something's topsy-turvy here J/K Looks great!
What sort of post-processing do you do? Those insane reflections can't be untouched. Can they??
Just wondering. Your photos always look like they belong on a calendar somewhere

Z2 Pro worked great on my brother's silver Odyssey but the ZFX I had dried up before I used the Z5, so I hadn't tried it. Since I couple people said I would be okay using it without ZFX and I got a full bottle of Z8 from a customer, I figured I'd give it a go.
I drop my pictures off at Walgreens for developing and they put them on a picture CD. The only thing I do with them is resize them from 1800 x 1200 to 750 x 506 and compress and reduce jpg quality for posting.

i must try z2 pro without zfx next time..
so you sprayed z8 first, then applied z2 pro without zfx on a non treated finish ? or applied z2 pro without zfx , and then sprayed z8 .. regardless, oh man, if there's a "yes" to these questions, its sure going to cause a post war
