Yellow Ferrari 550 Maranello

This is my most recent detail. It's a 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello which was in very good shape to start. As far as the paint, there were no scratches or imperfections whatsoever besides some grease and tar on the bottom panels which I used some solvent to get it off. The wheels were removed, cleaned and polished with Wicked Metal Polish. I detailed the engine compartment by hand and started on the paint. I buffed the complete exterior with Menzerna Final Polish II by rotary with a black foam finishing pad. I applied RMG by hand followed by a coat of Natty's Blue. Dressed tires with Meguiars Gold Class Endurance Gel. Overall it was a pretty simple detail.

Here are the pics:

more coming....

Excellent job, you've been doing some great work (looked at your other posts too). I think Bay State Motorsports is the place to be. So many nice cars

I envy you for detailing these cars on a consistented schedule

These wheels in particular have an aluminum lip on the edge of the wheel. When aluminum ISN'T polished, it gets a dull, hazy look that doesn't have much of a shine to it.
When aluminum IS polished, it can almost be as shiny as chrome when polished correctly. Just cleaning the wheels properly and having the aluminum highly polished will dramatically improve the overall look of the car. People that buy these calibur of cars will look the car upside down & inside out, so I go a little crazy sometimes.

This particular Ferrari has a V12 in it, so I'm sure it is in the front for performance/ weight issues.

Awesome! I had one of those in red behind me last weekend. What a beautiful front end to stare at in the mirror while waiting for the green light.
