Black Olive Cayenne Turbo

I was called the other day by Porsche to fix a new Cayenne that had been damaged during transport from Chicago. It's a new color for Porsche and the color itself is just amazing....beautiful is th eonly word I can find to describe it properly but who ever wiped it down was a real weanie!

It had alot of grit on it and someone must of took a damp towel and tried to wipe the car down and just scratched the hell out of the paint. Then someone tried to remove the scratches but ended up introducing halograms

Hood shot

When I pulled it into the garage area of the Porsche dealer the lighting only showed more damage...it actually needed to be wetsanded in some areas but the new owner was coming the next morning to pick it up so time was not on my side.

I used only Optimum Polish and four different pads to level the paint and then remove swirls. My first pad choice was an orange pad at 1500 rpm's. I then used an Opt green pad at 1400 rpm's and I then switched to a blue pad at 1200 rpm's. I finished it with a Opt white pad at 1100 rpm's.

I hit it with a Cyclo in a few of the worse areas to finish it off. Topped it with OCW and BnB on the tires.

I also used a beta sample of Optimum's new window cleaner which did a great job but I had to first polish out the hard water spots on the glass with my Cyclo and Opt polish.

Here are a few AFTER pics. This color is black at certain times but when in the sun it takes on a golden green color....it's just an intense color

It looks a bit better now, this was how the whole car looked in the full sun.

I wish I could of took more pics but my camera card was full, as it is I had to delete a few to include this

Thanks,
Anthony

Excellent work as always. That is a very cool and unique color, I bet that would look good on a 5 or 7 series BMW.

Wow, that really *is* a great color!

Interesting that you were able to do all the correction steps with just the OCP and different pads.

I fully agree with you, Accumulator. This is a perfect example of how the process is just as, if not more, important than the products. Great job Anthony!

Excellent transformation, Anthony! Not only are the holograms gone but the paint looks rich, deep and wet, even in the full sun shots.

You aren't kidding about the color...awesome!
