2002 Yellow Z06 Corvette (Supercharged !!)

This car belongs to my buddy. It's a 2002 and has been very neglected. I had a no-show, so I called my friend and told him I was coming to get his car.

When I picked the car up there was trash everywhere inside the car and the outside was absolutely a mess. The wheels were covered with brakedust that did not come off by washing them so I had to remove the wheels to clean and polish each one at a time. The wheels are aluminum with no clearcoat so acid would have ruined them. The wheels alone took me about 3 hours to get looking good again. The paint was covered with tons of little black dots which made the paint look dull and feel real gritty. The bottoms were covered on grease, tar and rubber from the rear tires. The engine compartment wasn't too bad.

MY PROCESS :

Washed the car, cleaned engine compartment and removed the wheels.

Cleaned & polished all the wheels off the car.

Complete interior detail.

Clayed complete exterior with Clay Magic clar bar.

Buffed entire car with Menzerna IP by rotary w/ cutting pad

Buffed entire car with Menzerna FP II

Wiped down exterior with water/alcohol mixture

Hand application of AIO

Hand application of EXP

Topped with S100

Here's the before pictures:

I'm not really sure what the exact numbers are, but I would imagine it's over 500 rwhp. Stock it pushes 405HP at the crank. The car hasn't been dynoed or tuned since the install. I'll try to find out and let you know. All I know is that the car is a friggin rocketship !! Spins 2nd gear rubber without even trying!

Back when I was 13 in 1988 my Dad bought a Callaway Twin Turbo Vette with 420hp and over 550ftlbs torque, I was able to drive it once in a great while when I was 16-25, what a blast. The g-force in 2nd was insane. I can only imagine was this car is like.

Extremely impressive!

What did you polish the wheels with? It shows that you took them off. They look gorgeous!

Superb! The paint looks terrific!

Yellow is a tough color to get looking like that, you definitely have some skills!

Great looking corvette. Not the right color though, i hate yellow. Looks alot better, no more swirls or caked engine. Great Work.

That's some of the wettest yellow paint I think I've ever seen...
