Latest details™ v.spit shined a Caddy

I did these three at an office I do 'mini-details' for about once every 6 weeks. The owners use the details as a reward for their employees. What the mini-detail consists of is vacuuming, wash, one step cleaner wax, and tire/fenderwells cleaning and dressing. Used Poorboy's Polish w/carnauba via Meguiars polishing pad on all three, but did polish out some light rotary swirls on the BMW hood with Optimum and a Meguiars polishing pad.

2001 BMW 325ci

2001 Dodge Dakota

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee-definitely going to charge more for this one if the interior is as nasty as it was this time. Garbage and debris everywhere.

Great work, Scott!

Details for employees cars is a really nice idea, too.

2003 Mercury Maurader. Regular customer. Parked it under crepe myrtles at his daughter's in Houston, just caked in sap. The 3 month old application of Glanz Wax really took a beating. He was in a hurry, so I QEW washed it and applied Detailer's Pride Spray Surface Shield Paint Sealant. Spray, spread, wipe, done. Really looks excellent.

=============

2003 Lexus RX330. New regular customer, took over for rlspringer-he is just doing too many large boats and this customer is closer to me anyway. Wash one, wax one, first Saturday each month (the other car is a BMW M Coupe), the RX's turn this time. Rick obviously maintained these cars well and the owner is pretty meticulous as well. Just needed a coat of Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket by hand. As typical, kind of hard to capture the wetness on white paint in the sun.

2001 Cadillac DTS. Similar deal as the Lexus owner, wash one, wax one but with this guy, it is about every 6-8 weeks. Last deep polished the Caddy in late May with Meguiars #80 and topped with Pink Wax. Still some light beading, slickness was noticable but nothing great. Paint still looked real good though. Spit shined Natty's Blue Paste Wax using Optimum Car Wax. Turned out so nice, when I finished I went home and did the same to my car.

Optimum Tire Shine on all the above. Really nice product. A touch more gloss than Armor All. Hard to tell durability after only using it a week though.

I take it there is dampness in your area too?

Good news to hear on the Tire Shine and yeah....right now we have nothing but they say it's coming. I am home though mainly because the hospital where I usually go to on Mondays is closed (parking garage) for cleaning and re-painting of parking stripes.

I have a Vette to remove a scratch from later this afternoon, providing it's not raining.

Great work Scott,

Anthony

BEAUTIFUL work Scott!!! The Maurader gets my nod for "best of show" this thread!!

When you spit shine do you apply the first product to the whole car then remove with the next product or do you apply and remove both products one panel at a time?

Scott, I browse this site every night and I LOVE your work. Sorry I don't comment more often. (that goes for a lot of you experts out there.)
Keep it up!
