Latest details™ v.normal cars + new BMW 750Li

First thought I'd toss out a couple more pics of my future brother-in-law's S4 (original thread: http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57648 ) that I took with my 35 mm print film camera instead of the ones in the original thread I took with my brother's Cannon digital.

Again, the process was Detailer's Pride Super Swirl Eliminator with a burgandy Meguiars cutting pad, Final Finishing Polish with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and Poorboy's EX w/carnauba by hand.

Here is a regular's Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Deep polished it this past spring, so I applied the new version of Poorboy's EX w/carnauba a few weeks ago, then before I took this pic, I QEW washed it and QD-ed with Clearkote's Quikshine.

2000 Hyundai Tiburon. Interior wasn't bad, just lots of dog hair. Hard water stains on the hood from apartment sprinklers. I had to do this one by hand (and also the following GTI) since I was at an office complex. Hadn't polished by hand in a while but it all came back to me quickly.

Polished with Poorboy's SSR2 then waxed with Long Haul's Polish/Wax (same on the Passat next to it, but since I had detailed and posted it a few times already I didn't take new pics). Came out pretty decent.

2003 VW GTI VR6. Pretty nice car, crap carpeting. Honestly, whoever thought that cheap junk belongs anywhere but the trunk should be forced to drive around to all GTI owners and vacuum their cars every week. Other than that, the car was in decent shape except like the Tiburon, water spots from sprinklers on the hood. Polished those out with SSR2, then the whole car with Clearkote's Vanilla Moose and topped with Poorboy's EX-P. Not sure why the color changed so much between the front and back shots, had the same thing happen with a similarly colored RAV4.

2005 BMW 750Li. I had a customer who turned in his BMW 745 and got the 750. The exterior is tweaked for less ugly and the i-drive seems a little less intimidating. Like usual, he declined dealer prep. Paint was obviously pretty near perfect so all I did was apply the Werkstatt Acrylic Jett.

I see that you used Poorboy's polishes on the less expensive cars. You wouldn't recommend using them on the Audi & Porsche?

In addition, when I did the deep polishing back in the spring, I did use SSR2.5 on it.

I got some new products from Detailer's Pride to try out so that is one of the reasons I used the combo that I did on the S4.

If you go through the gallery in my link, you will see I use Poorboy's Products on a wide variety of vehicles. I always list the products and pad choice when I host the pics.

excellent work as always. Are you using AA tire foam and just applying it with a towel?

I use the regular old Armor All and apply it with an Eagle One tire swipe. I just spray it into the fenderwells, and use the tire swipe to get areas next to the paint.
