I had to wash down the hood and passenger side with QEW and Long Haul's Degreaser/Bug Remover because they fry food in the garage next to the M3 (I guess frying inside sets off the smoke detector) and the oily air settles on the car. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant and cleaned fryer vents knows what I am talking about.
Anyway, once it was clean, the paint was in pretty decent shape. Meguiars #80 with a Meguiars polishing pad and Poorboy's EX w/carnauba by hand. I just vacuumed the top and wiped down with a damp MF.
==================
2001 Acura MDX. I detail this one about every 6-8 months. The owner's wife only puts about 7000 miles a year on it so it stays pretty clean. Klasse AIO with a Meguiars polishing pad and Poorboy's EX-P by hand. The paint came out very wet looking on this one!

Last waxed with Glanz Wax in early December and mid May, it was still beading, had some paint slickness still and looked pretty good. Very minimal spider swirling, so polished with 1Z Metallic Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad and applied Glanz Wax by hand. GW looks terrific on this color so why bother with something else? Besides, the customer says she likes how this wax looks the best.
================
2004 Hummer H2. Weekly regular, paint in excellent condition. Last waxed in early January with Nattys. Still looked good, decent beading but minimal slickness. No deep polishing needed so just one stepped it with Long Haul's Polish/Wax with a white polishing pad (not sure of the brand, got it from Rick Springer).
Anyway I was really happy how it turned out just using an OTC one step product. Pretty good slickness and an appearance similar to EX w/carnauba, IMO.

Washed it with S100 Total Cycle Cleaner, polished the pipes first with Clearkote's Blue Moose to remove the melted boot marks, then all the paint and chrome with Vanilla Moose and a microfiber pad. Went back over the paint with Red Machine Glaze and a foam hand pad and sealed with PB's EX-P by hand. Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner (the spray version) on the leather.

Do you ever offer a top protecting service for converts?
Althought I don't like H2's, the paint on that one looks great!

I just don't do too many convertibles. Quote: | Althought I don't like H2's, the paint on that one looks great! | Thanks! I was really happy with how nice Long Haul looks on it. Vernon-I only do mobile. Rob-Thanks! Harleys are a blast to do because you can do most of the work sitting down! Just a word of advice-they take a lot longer to detail than you'd think. Plan for at least 2 hours for even a garage queen.

If I had just been doing the bike, it would have been $85-100 but since he also had me detail his 740 (pics on the next roll of film) which was in excellent shape and he'd washed it a couple days prior, I figured I'd just roll it into a package deal.
