Full Detail - Lexus SC300

Doctors car, his wife, also a Dr., can't stand driving in it anymore so she says, "Give it a FULL detail!"

I picked it up Monday mid-morning and dropped it off Tuesday mid-afternoon. Now when someone says "full detail" it means to me to give it the works, I believe a "full" detail is from bumper to bumper, inside and out.

I removed the mats, removed the seats and began with a thorough vacuuming.

Also 2 trash bags of stuff was removed prior to me starting the detail. We had melted M&M's in the back, and a few cobwebs and even some spiders living in the rubber seals!

OK....no one really cares much for the reading part so here are the pictures....a series of BEFORE's & AFTER's

These are interior shots with the seats removed -

After steam cleaning the carpets I then applied stain protector to the whole floor board.

Emergency brake and boot -

I then removed the boot to properly clean it and around the brake handle -

Drivers side mat and carpets -

Here are both the mat and carpet area after being cleaned and detailed

This is the rear carpet area BEFORE, drivers side-

AFTER (After seats were re-installed)

- More pictures coming soon -

After the interior was dome I moved on to the engine and exterior. Here is a shot of the Lexus door jamb, passenger side, BEFORE....

AFTER being cleaned.....

Engine BEFORE...

AFTER.......

Wheel BEFORE......

AFTER....

And a few exterior shots of the Lexus after being clayed, removing paint overspray, tree sap and road tar it was polished with Optimum Polish and sealed with Optimum Car Wax.

Well I have more pictures but too tired to go through them all, besides I believe you all get the picture of its condition.

Take care,
Anthony

Awesome, awesome work Anthony!

Removing the seats?

Can you describe your process a bit?

What product did you use to clean the carpeting? What kind of stema cleaner or extractor? What did you do to clean the dash and seats and then what did you use to protect?

When you say you kept it overnight, where did you take it?

Are you like other mobile guys and use QEW or bring your own water tank?

Sorry for all the questions, I just like to read the process so it helps me when I conformt similar situations

What did you use on those door jam areas? Amazes me how some professionals get into those tiny areas in the front for interior. Do tell us your technique!

I'm a huge fan of the SC's... not that I'm partial or anything...

Looks awesome. I don't know how someone could have let the car get that bad in the first place.

What year is it? I'm thinking '98 or '99 because of the VVT-i.

Removing the seats!

You are a reconditioning God.

A couple of dumb questions if I may:

1. What is your carpet treatment process?
2. What did you use on the interior plastic (process/product)?
