First off forigve the pics again as I'm still taking them off my camera phone. (waiting on a part now to get my DSLR back up and running) Nothing to extensive here. But I was basically waiting on this one. The dealership I'm working with training their guys took this in on trade a little while back. At first they didn't want anyone touching it. Understandably. Finally I got pulled aside tonight and was asked if I could get it ready for the show room and their ad's next week.
All in all it was in real solid shape. It's a 2008 Saleen racecraft edition. Pushing I do believe they told me 420 hp with 410 ft/tq 4.6 supercharged V8. To say the least this is the baddest mustang I've ever sat in. The kid that owned it was only 25 and got in way over his head. The monthly car payment and insurence payment on it was eating $1100/mth out of his pocket so he traded it in for a Tacoma... This thing only has 2500 miles on it. Not even broke in yet. Someone is going to get one helluva deal on it I'm sure.
So a basic new car prep the right way was in order. Good training tool as well
Started with the wheels and fuel door. APC's and some light brush work did them good.
After a good rinse to get any dust off it I took a couple of the beading.. Still had a good coat of wax on her.
Then the bath and clay. The clay really didn't net anything worth taking a pic over.. Which actually suprised me a little. Apparently the kid took pretty good care of the car.
Then I did a basic once over with Ultrafina on the PCXP and red pad. I didn't really see much in the way of micromarring or RIDS either. Like I said it was in really good shape to begin with.
Then I followed that up with some Danase Wet Glaze for added gloss.
Dressed the engine bay with some Meg's Hyperdressing to make it look better than new again.
Air Dam and tires also got the Hyperdressing treatment.
All in all pretty straight forward. But a fun car to play with no doubt.
You're killing us with these camera phone pictures Jake!! I'm surprised there wasn't any marring from Saleen/ASC installing the graphics? Looks like it came out nice. I loved it when the dealers sent these cream puffs.

Yea. I'm working on the camera issue LOL. Hopefully here soon. And there was minor marring here and there. But nothing like I would have expected. I'm thinking that maybe the guy that owned it had it taken care of. And according the build sheet. Most of the upgrades is in the suspension and the supercharger. Not sure what makes it different over a regular saleen but...
Looks good Jake. I loved the car but not a real fan of that race sticker done the side. maybe it looks better in person. Nice one to add to the portflio!

Hmmmm... never heard of the Racecraft Edition, but that seems to be the case with a lot of mustang special editions. Without the stickers and whatnot that'd be nice sleeper b/c it doesn't really look all that different from your basic mustang.
Great work!
