2008 BMW 335. Customer was a referral from another BMW customer (E46 330ci) who recently purchased this '08 E90. Unfortunately, between the time he first saw the car and put the money down on it and when he picked it up after the sale, someone went nuts on the paint with a rotary and no clue.

The heavy compounding was done via the KB Method (as best I understand it) using my
G110, Soft Edge orange cutting pad well primed with
Meguiars #105. Speed was on 6 and I used heavy pressure-the nice thing about a cutting pad is you can apply more pressure before the buffer bogs down. Several sections (most notably the driver's side doors and both rear quarter panels took multiple polishing passes.
I then followed with
Meguiars #205 using a yellow
Meguiars polishing pad to take out the hazing from the first step...and believe me, there was some hazing! A few areas took multiple polishing passes. I then used Clearkote's Pink Moose Plus (Vanilla Moose + Red Machine Glaze plus an additional polish I have added for a touch more cut) using a blue Soft Edge finishing pad.
As you can see, some of the deeper defects remained. If you look at the above hood half 'n half shot, you can see just how bad that area was. There were some really deep scratches here and there on the hood and on the driver's side that will require wetsanding to drastically reduce or remove.
I then waxed the car with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose and cleaned the glass inside and out with Clearkote's Quikshine.
No outside shots, it was misting when I finished-which is what it did on and off all day. We haven't had sunshine since last Thursday in the Dallas area.
