What did you use on the exterior rubber/plastic? I went with the Klasse twins on mine.
I used "Black Again". A buddy of mine reps the stuff and gave me a few bottles for free. So I am trying it out. Seems to last for a while. I put it on my bed caps on my Tundra a coupld months ago and it's still looks great. Just make sure you buff it off after applying.

I did an "XL" for a friend last year and it was HUGE!! Luckliy it was a newer one and wasn't that trashed....but that thing was BIG!!

Thanks for the reply. See how it holds up; I'm hoping my KSG approach lasts a good long time, but we'll see. On the MPV's plastic/rubber, it's been good for over a year (!) but you just never know...

Mine (bought very used) *was* trashed Both ebpcivicsi and I hammered on it before it finally turned out OK (and there isn't enough clear left to do *that* again). The etched/scratched/never-waxed roof took forever, talk about a big panel that's hard to get to/inspect properly!

Re: GMC Yukon Denali

I have used KAIO on smooth plastic finish before and it's amazing! Never thought about topping it with KSG though! It does make sense!! I am going to use it on my Tundra next time I do the bumpers and stuff to see how it looks. Thanks for the tip!!

Instead of going through the steps that the rest of the paint took I used Poli Seal on it. It removed a lot of the visible swirling and gave it a coat of protection at the same time. It's a lot of work figuring out how to get up there, balance on whatever you are standing on and polishing/waxing at the same time..... I am too big to hit the ground that hard!! LOL!!

I have never cared for the look of a bra at all. (On my cars or my women!! LOL!) I took the thing off the vehicle and I looked like Pigpen from the Peanuts cartoon when I was done!! That thing was filthy!! Vacuumed it, steam cleaned it and treated it with leather conditioner. Don't know if he put it back on though.

On the textured rubber running boards of the Denali (about the most extreme application for this approach I can think of), it's working *great*. I really *scrubbed* with the AIO, and didn't let it dry. Likewise, I put the KSG on super-thin and basically did a W-O-W-O so as not to get any residue stuck in the texture in case I put it on a bit thick.

I also used FK1000P (over both KAIO and ZAIO) on a few of the textured plastic surfaces just to see if it'd work, and yeah, it did. BUT...thin thin thin or I bet you'd get staining.

Yeah, I used five (!) work platforms to raise myself up (still a real PIA) and I spent many hours at it. Sure don't plan to do that again any time soon! Almost certainly not worth doing unless it's your own vehicle and you're, uhm....nuts
