Recent job completed @the shop, whole car sans the trunk lid is covered in Venture clear film.
This car had water spots galore and a few deep scratches on a couple of places that took some time to correct, except for the Ferrari 599 this and the Aston DBS is my favorite car.
Lower rear bumper had problems like this.....
With a little patience and technique film can be polished and corrected
After using the Surbuf pads to compound w/Megs 105 I switched to rotary and fine polished with Menz 85RD and 87MC finishing with CG extreme glaze
The extra effort was worth it, topped with Blackfire the sun shot is nice
Working the film with the Festool
Interior was only slightly dirty, so a clean up with P&S express and Gloss-it Satin leather for the dressing
Final wipedown before going out for a little "in the sun action"
My goal on this job was to make the film a clear as possible so anyone lokking at it would think nothing was on the paint(clear film)

Great detail Bob. Every time I look at your posts and of your shop boy do I get jealous.
I have one quick question about the interior light that you use. It's the flourescent or halogen light on a stand that slides right into the interior. Did you buy that pre fabricated or did you have to get someone to fab the light?
Cheers !

Wow - well done. Instead of super-hard clearcoat, you had super soft film to deal with. You really achieved your goal. No way I would have guessed that the car was 90% wrapped.
More sick work Bob. The last shot is indeed better than I've seen in any magazine.
btw, I recently did some work for a client that spoke VERY highly of your services. Turns out he was at an event out West (goldrush rally maybe?) and you did a few cars for the fellas he was with. Said you did twice as good of a job in half the time as another detailer that isn't on autopia, but sponsors various forums and has his name out there.
Surely speaks well of you when your reputation for quality work even reaches Detroit!!!
PC Bryan, incredible correction with the surbuf. Will get the 5" pads as I have a bigger backing plate coming in from CMA although I find I like the control and precision with the 4" pads. Do not think it will work with the Flex and Festool as well as the PC.
