Re: dsms detail - E92 M3 correction
I don't understand two things.
1. Why you won't say what you used to clean the leather?
2. Why you won't say what's in your magical sauce?
If this is a board to share thoughts/ideas/etc., then why not spread the word? It's not like any of us would move to New Jersey and start using your secret ingredients to steal business away from you.
Different strokes for different folks, but I just don't understand your logic.

If they were two products you could buy anywhere and people already know about at all than I surely would say what they were. The sauce is 90% of one product you cant really get online but have to buy at a very specific store + a little bit of something I felt it needed.
The fact is there are just a few things I choose to omit from these writeups. Over the past 2 years I have been super open about my choices and processes, I feel I have the right to keep a few tricks up my sleeve, no?

Please do not take this as a personal attack....no malice was intended.
You stated your case, and I respect that. You're top notch, in my opinion. Just trying to figure out where you were coming from.
Thanks, Dave.

Right on. Great detail, by the way. IB is my second favorite color, right behind Laguna Seca Blue.

Re: dsms detail - E92 M3 correction
Dave I will elaborate on the real reason......... there is a guy here and on other boards who has a man crush on myself, Dave and Ritchie Carbone. He is a guy who has limited experience and now tries to come off as a "seasoned pro" who copies everything the three of us do to a T.
He muddies the waters everywhere we go and comes off as a fool.... this guy just started using Menzerna for god's sake but in his write ups he has you think that this is how it is done, and a few things we have put in our write ups we had a time frame on how long the "me too" steps would be copied and we have never been disappointed to date.
So to answer the question this is why certain new products have been omitted, and "that guy" does not have the cajones to respond to this thread or some interesting PM's will be interesting reading......... although some guys here already know the deal on this nutjob.

Re: dsms detail - E92 M3 correction
Outstanding work!
I will be taking delivery of a E92 M3 in 3 weeks and am trying to figure out how far to go on the clear bra. I want to just do the front bumper, but...
Let me sidetrack: I realize driving style/habits will influence how many chips end up in the paint (and where), but I was curious about what you saw close-up.
Did anything during your detail indicate that it would be ideal to do a partial clear bra on the hood and/or fenders?
I'm torn because the car is (will be) jet black, so I want maximum carnauba-on-paint action.
