2009 Mercedes S63 AMG by Detail Werkz

Here is a sweet 2009 Mercedes S63 AMG that we had the honor to detail recently. A pre-wash was performed and using the GI Green clay, we removed any contamination that were adhered to the clearcoat during shipping, transporting etc.

Once the vehicle was clayed we rewashed the vehicle using the GI Gloss Shampoo to remove the clay residue. After our 3-stage drying process we accessed the paint and found it to be in great shape with no visible swirls or paint defects to be found. We went strait into applying the GI Signature High Gloss polish topped with a coat of GI Concorso Gloss polish to really make the silver pop and give a great depth into the silver paint.

The interior also had its share of care. Using the GI Satin Leather Cleaner we PH-cleaned all the interior surfaces including all the vinyl, plastics, rubber and leather items to remove any shipping dirt from the drivers and dealerships. Once we had the interior good and clean we applied the GI T.R.V. to all the vinyl, plastics and rubber items and applied the GI Satin Leather Polish to the leather seats and gave the seats an additional coat of the GI Satin Leather Polish to further the protection.

The tires and rims were cleaned using our new Tornador foamer using a mixture of GI Wheel Gel and an APC cleaner. The tires were treated with a few coats of GI Signature Tire Dressing. GI Gloss Finish was applied to the rims to help cut down dirt and break dust.

Enjoy the photos...

Great work! The car is a masterpiece - but then I'm a little biased.

I am not as impressed as I was hoping to be. Yes it does blow out some foam, but its not a strong wad of foam like I was expecting. Even with 150PSI the foam does not come out very strong, and you have to hold it in a spot for a few secs to apply the foam thick enough to make you feel like its going to do its job.

In my honest opinion, I feel the Gloss It Wheel Gel and other really good wheel cleaners do better, with less effort and less noise (air compressor). You can quickly go thru the chemical and I think it might be more of a waste of product.

I tried using the foam gun to foam the car, but again it does not blow out hard, so it was just not doing the job like you imagine. The slightest wind and the foam blows uncontrollably even back on yourself.

I contacted the place I got it from and informed them that maybe mine is broken. They want me to shoot a video of it in action so they can see just what its doing. I will do this and post on my youtube account .. youtube.com/detailwerkz and you can see for yourself how it works.

If its not raining I will do this tomorrow up at the shop.

I also feel you should not need to buy a total separate unit for this, they should have made it an attachment where you can screw it on the interior unit, much like the other attachments they have out for the units.

I love the interior unit, it does great, however you want to be in a well ventilated area, APC in a mist does not take to well to the lungs!! I use a full fledged gas mask when I am doing the interiors as its very caustic and feels like your lungs are about to melt! haha..

Lol I have the interior tool. Luckily in my shop I have a nice big wall exhaust fan that helps. I Wish they would make it with an attachment because its the same gun. Thank for a good reply on it man. I think I may pass now.
