Since SIP is a diminishing abrasive polish and M105 is a non diminishing abrasive, I'm not sure you would get the same results. Please let us know if you give it a try.

Re: PS Detailed: 2008 Corvette owner looses sleep untill.....
I am surprised you could get those pigtails out with a DA. Having achieved excellent results myself using the Surbuf pads, I guess I have underestimated the true power of the Surbuf pads all along.
With innnovation such as the Surbuf pads, i wonder if the rotary would eventually be replaced! Even with such amazing cutting power, the DA + Surbuf combo finishes extremely nicely, operates MUCH COOLER, and is FAR SAFER around edges compared to the rotary... Using the Surbuf + DA combo in leiu of the rotary is almost a no brainer. The Surbuf pad has the cutting power of a wool pad, but without any of its downsides. Of course, the "pros" with decades of experience will probably disagree with this. Three of the older professionals (in their 40's) I talked to over the Internet refuse to try the Surbuf pads completely. Who can blame them?

I'd say "nothing suprises me anymore" but I even after using the surbuf pads/M105 cobo for over 6 months, I was suprised how easy this combo worked.
