08 Mustang GT(shelby GT-500 tribute)

This car belongs to my buddy Kevin Patten the lead tech at the shop I use to run, he is a mustang guy to the bone and built the Bullit I did a write up on a while back

Here he is here with one of the first place awards he got(with a little help from me.........)

So he picked up this 08 Gt convertible and did a Shelby tribute, the car is Vista blue and here is a list of the current mods

.KR Hood
.Hood pins
.GT 500 front clip
.New trunk with duckbill spoiler
.Aluminum drive shaft
.New rear end 3.83 gers ratio
.Eibach springs and Koni shocks
.05 Gt wheels with satin finish
.New Borla exhaust
.Push button start conversion in dash

The body shop did a good job but not great as I finish sanded some parts(mirrors) and corrected sand scratches in other parts of the car

Wool pad correcting the sand scratches with M105

Polishing the wheels with CG acrylic glaze

The glass has some hard water spots so the Gel had to come out(CG water spot remover)

Polishing after compounding with Menz 106FA

Almost ready for sun pics

Infratech pic

Fenix pic

T5 high output pic

Kevin likes to finish off where the factory stopped, trunk before liner

During installation

Finished

Pic of starter button install in dash

Interior pics

Ready to go outside for sun pics

Nice cars but I love that bullet. I love how it has no spoiler on the decklid. Makes it look completely different.

Cleeean!

How did you get the car out in the last garage shot? Did you have to drive past the ramp again?

Looks great Bob. When you going to take the DSLR dive and photograph all this car porn you tease us with?

Looks great!! I see you use CG acrylic glaze often, and on the wheels of this car. Does it offer any protection? According to chem guys it does, what are you experiences? Also I have a friend who lives in Newport, needs a shine, do you have a web address?

I used the glaze, then put Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant over that. The glaze does offer some protection as wheels take a beating in relation to the other parts of the car, I will foward my website to you thru a pm.

SWEET! I have a client with a 2010 SHELBY coming in soon. Looks like a fun car to work on.
