Thats Fresh Detailed: 90 IslandGreen Metallic 535i

more more more rain. finally got this car scheduled. this called for an almost full restoration job. with only a day and half to correct the paint, i had to grind this one out fast. car history: was repainted by previous owner. but over the years, the clear eventually went thin and gone in some areas. the new owner "IDRIVEANE34" on here aquired the car from a dealer down in North Carolina during the winter so inspecting the paint was a tough one. She drove the car back up to VA through a snow storm. Few months later, the true condition of the paint showed. She did use touch up paint to cover some troubled areas. Those areas were about 3" in diameter. i didnt not touch bc i did not want to risk more damage as i could see the bare metal right through the touch up paint. I informed her that best option was to repspray the car. She did however provide me with a fresh package of Dr Colorchip which i did use on rock chips, scratches etc.

I did my best to revive the metallic color while removing 90% of the swirls. the paint levels were dangerously low for me to work on throughout the car. I say i got a 75% correction rating. Well onto the detail...

ENGINE
P21s TAW
Megs GC/foam gun
303 Protectant

WHEELS/WELLS
P21s Gel
Megs GC

EXTERIOR
APC Spray down
CWC/Foam Gun, Rinse
CWC, Megs GC 2BM, Rinse

CLAY
Megs White, Clay Magic Medium Clay
ONR Lube
Rinse, WW MF Towel

CORRECTION with PC 6" & 4" pads
IP/Orange (2 passes)
106FA/White

SEALANT
JetSeal109/Blue

LSP
Dodo Juice Purple Haze

FINALS
Stoners IG (sides and rear)
RainX (front windshield)
OPT Wheel Gel

P21s TAW covering everything

TAW almost working on impact

After rinsing TAW, there were still some trouble spots so i just sprayed engine and under hood with Megs GC/foam gun

beware of the following photos...

the bottom of half of the car got a healty dosage of APC. lots of salt and grime were easily visible

then onto the presoak for the whole car/clay/prep process

areas like these shapes appeared all over the car.

and this was with megs white fine clay

looks like someone tried to spot wax an area.

That looks great! What speeds do you use with the IP and the 106?

Great job! What concentration did you use on the TAW?

That looks great! Though that poor car has some horrible orange peel.
