Mustang Mach 1

The owner of this car found me on the net through a performance car site. He was coming to Charlotte for a car show, and requested I detail his car for the event. Luckily, I was able to have the assistance of forum member "Michakaveli.

This car is the owner's daily driver (except during winter), and has 76K miles on it. The car was not bad, but not exactly show ready.

Befores:

Process:
Interior:
vacuumed
dusted and "degunked" all crevaces and nooks
All interior surfaces got Optimum Protectant Plus
Pedals cleaned with ONR/water and a Brush
Zep glass cleaner
Second vacuuming done

Engine Bay:
All detailing was done by hand with a Swissvaz brush, Q-tips, rags, a boar's hair brush and ONR/water. The Hood liner was vacuumed. Painted surfaces hit with Optimum Car Wax, and Hyper Dressing 2:1 was used on the black tubing under the hood. The stainless was cleaed with Zep glass cleaner.

Trunk:
Nitrous bottles waxed with Optimum Car Wax.
Vacuumed
Dusted all sound equipment with a boar's hair brush.

Exterior:
Foamed with Gold Class and rinsed.
Washed with Eurow mit, and DuraGloss soap (2bm)
Wheels, wells, and tires were washed with Gold Class, and an assortment of rags and brushes.
Refoamed the car with Gold Class and clayed with Adam's clay.
Dried with Viking towels and a leaf blower.

Correction:
KBM, using both the Flex with a 6.5" LC white pad and PC7424XP with a LC 5.5" white pad, and PC7424 using a 4" LC white pad, and M86 as the polish of choice. M86 is overlooked by many...you can often get as good of a result ONLY using M86, as you get using the duo of M105 and M205.

We then blew polishing dust off the car, and out of cracks with the air compressor and a blow nozzle.

Car was waxed with Carnouba Moose Wax, and buffed off with OCW.

Exhaust tips:
0000 Steel Wool, and M105. A Mother's Power Ball Mini, with the drill and M105 was used inside the pipes.

Others:
I wiped down the fuel tank with ONR/water and a microfiber.
Q-tip was used to clean the key hole on the trunk.
Wheels sealed with DG Aquawax.
Windshield cowling, side mirror housings, and engine shaker got Optimum Protectant Plus.

14 man hours.

Now for the afters....

Beautiful ride and in my favorite color scheme too. Can't wait to get down there and get back to detailing... Looks like a great location.
