2009 ZR1 prep

This is another dealer prep package. A special car gets a special prep I was on a tight schedule so I didn't get any before pics. It was just a little dusty.

Process

-Foamed with Zaino Z7
-Clayed with Zaino Z8 with Megs LT as lube
-ZAIO
-Z5pro
-ZCS
-Z16 on tires
-Mothers Chrome polish on wheels (covered in some nasty sprinkler spots)
-Zaino Z8

Enjoy!

Looks great Jeff! So the wheels are chrome, and not polished / clearcoated like other 'Vettes? I remember GM was recommending special precautions be taken around the brakes, hood window, and carbon panels -- have you noticed anything different?

Yes, on the 3ZR package (loaded with everything) the wheels are chrome. Whats funny is that I was the one who had to inform them about the bulletins on this car. LOL. Zaino seems to agree just fine with the carbon fiber bits and the hood window. And a rinse was all the wheel barrels and brakes needed, no dirt/grime on them yet with 5miles on the clock. The other 2 I did a few months back still look perfect.

Thanks!

Thanks Jesse! I love the tinted clear coats that select C6 vette colors have. They really pop in the light! On the hood/left fender shot you can see how much blue there is in the paint on the fender.

LOL! Been there, done that! I'm on my 2nd plate. Hopefully, this one will stick around a little longer!

By the way, if you don't want to mess with screwing the plate on, you can get that blue tack adhesive stuff. I use it and it works great. Makes it real easy to move the plate to the front bumper, even if there isn't a spot for the plate.

This is the product. I was able to find it locally at Wal-Mart or Office Depot (can't remember): Dap Reusable Adhesive Putty

Bookmarked! I'm gonna get that stuff! I have a few extra plates I haven't used yet and don't have screw holes yet. That stuff would let me use them and have an even cleaner look. Thanks!

Re: 2009 ZR1 prep

No problem. Like I said, you can pick that stuff up locally if you look in the office supply section. It's only a few dollars.
