Re: dsms detail - 08' Porsche 997 Turbo

Outstanding job!! This from another Porsche owner in black!

I'm interested on how well the GI product handles the soft paint we have on these cars.

From what I see, it did very well.

Regards,
Deanski

What's the backing plate you have there? And how do you like it say compared to a LC backing plate?

Great job man. I like the car, just not the rag top. It shines now

The GI polishes work butter smooth and with the use of EVP (pad prime) they will finish down 100% on softee clears, plus the are the only polishes I have used that give you no problems on sticky paints, Porsche being the best example!

I moved pretty quickly through this one as I took only one 20minute break from start to finish, I think it was 12hours total.

And YES I was spoiled from my garage at home, air conditioning and proper lighting would have helped greatly but what can ya do.. sometimes you gotta tough it out. Im not one to complain, so many guys do ONLY mobile work in far smaller garages than this one!

I use Meguiars APC at 10:1 to clean the emblems, badges etc. And the ARO is used to first clean the tires, rinsed off and then I use Tarminator by iteself. Some of the newer tire cleaners do a good enough to clean the tires completely but they are expensive! So my little process is longer but very cost effective
