1994 XJS12 brought back to life

This was an interesting detail for me. I've never detailed a car "this old" and I kept thinking it was older than it actually was due to the body style being the same since the 70's! This car is a beast though with the Jag V12. Even in 94 this car had heated and massaging seats! Now that's what I call luxury .

BTW excuse the lesser quality pics, I forgot to charge my DSLR and used the Sony P&S and just kept using it throughout the detail.

The car was in for a whole exterior makeover, and an interior touch up. I spent around 15 hours on this car.

When it first arrived to me:

(large scratch that needed to be taken care of. Luckily it passed the "fingernail test" so I knew it wouldn't be difficult to remove)

First up, as always, was the wheels.
Before:

They were first pressure rinsed to get rid of as much surface dirt as possible. Then I sprayed Autoglym custom wheel cleaner on the rims, and the tires/wheel wells received P21S TAW.

Next the engine bay was CAREFULLY degreased. First I "rinsed" with the hose on "mist" as to not soak any of the 15 year old electronics. Then I sprayed P21S TAW on areas easy to reach, and away from electrical components, and then carefully agitated with a boars hair brush.

After the engine bay was re "rinsed" I moved on to the body of the car. I foamed with with CG CWC and then followed that up with a 2 bucket CWC wash.

Once that was complete I clayed the car with Megs Professional Mild clay and ONR as lube. I then taped up all the chrome trim and seals to prep for polishing.

The combination for this car was a 3 step polish. 3M UK Fast Cut Plus on a 3M UK Yellow pad, followed by SIP on a 3m UK Yellow Pad, and then refined with Ultrafina on a 3M UK Blue pad.

Befores:

50/50 in the sun before ultrafina:

Most of the paint was corrected easily, but a few deep RIDS remained:

The hood complete:

Re: 1994 XJS12 brought back to life

50/50 of fender done, door not:

(scratch still needs some attention)

Mirror before:

After:

Door/Scratch refined:

And then one more pass for the one on the fender:

Trunk before:

And after:

Rear quarter corrected, door not:

Close up:

Before LSP in the sun:

Next was the interior. Sorry I forgot to take befores.. for some reason I never do this on interiors. I guess I don't really know how to take good before/afters of interiors like the exterior  Any tips would help!

The leather was treated with LM Trio. Carpets cleaned with CG Citrus Pad Cleaner, and protected with 303 FG. Wood got Zaino AIO.

Afters:

The wheels were polished by the GF with Werkstat Prime and the protected with Acrylic. Tires got Megs HD 2:1 and wheel wells were dressed with Adams Undercarriage Spray.

The LSP was Blackfire Wet Diamond which was topped by Midnight Sun Carnuba. I tossed around the idea of seeing how AB would look on BRG but opted to go with this combo for some more testing.

All the afters:

I opted to not put any dressing on the engine for safety reasons, but here's what it looked like after degreasing:

Tucked away for the night:

Thanks for looking!

As always, C/C welcome!

Thanks Jerry, I was going to but it wasn't stained, and beading water just as good as the paint, so I left it as is.
