AJ Auto Detail: Civic Polished Out

This is a referral from a friend of mine who mows the owner's grass and somehow auto detailing came into the conversation and gave him my contact information. This is this daughter's daily driver that has seen about 3 other detailers and its fair share of auto car washes. Paint was beaten, swirled, oxidized, and the hood had clear coat checking. Owner wanted it looking good again; he mentioned he used to be able to see the blue and purple flake in the paint when it was new, and wanted that back. We opted for a 2 step polish that would get it about 85-90% corrected leaving heavier RIDS.

Process:
Wash: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash + Gloss
Wheels: Chemical Guys Sticky Wheel Gel
Tires/Wells: Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser
Tires: Meguiar's Hot Shine
Wells: Chemical Guys Bare Bones
Clay: Meguiar's Aggressive Clay w/ Chemical Guys Luber
Polish: Menzerna SIP + LC Orange & Menzerna 106ff + LC White
Protection: Chemical Guys JetSeal109
Vacuum
Steam
Chemical Guys Green Clean
Stoners IG
Chemical Guys Leather Scent

During

After

Thanks for looking!

Car seems too new to already be having clearcoat failure. That's a real bummer.

Good save nonetheless.

Nice work! I'd go for warranty on the paint though. Get a district manager involved if needed.
