I have a customer with that color (Phoenix gold) and I agree, it isn't for everyone.

In terms of the photography skills I am definitely lacking. The pictures were taken on auto with and without flash.

I'm going for Phoenix Gold, too...my neighbor has an M3 in that color and it is pretty horrid. Much different than Dakar Yellow.

Very nice work! That car was wrecked.

E46 M3s come in Phoenix YELLOW, or in this case Dakar Yellow. Dakar Yellow was available as a BMW Individual color for the E46, although it was a factory color for the E36. Phoenix Yellow is more of an electric yellow, with a hint of green in certain light.

All the outside pics w/sun make me think it's Dakar yellow. The other M3 owner in this thread seems to agree. It looks a bit like PY in the shade, but in direct light it is too pale to be Phoenix Yellow in my eyes.

In some lighting it may be hard to differentiate but in sunlight they don't really look alike. Nikku, you worked the car. What say you?

The car is Phoenix Yellow with Kiwi interior which is an individual option. (another M3 owner btw) Dakar Yellow is not a metallic and is no where close to the color of Phoenix Yellow.
