Another show coming up I have been busy getting cars done. This one was quite memorable, beautiful car and different color. So on with the write up...
Arrived to a clean car, not much a of a surprise. Car was foamed and washed with 2BM. Clayed with Sonus green including the roof which was original paint. On to the inspection
Got right to work with 4" pads around the whole car. For correction LC CCS White with 3M Fast Cut Plus. Left a pretty clean finish
Roof was actually original paint, hit that with 3M Fast Cut Plus on a 7" Megs Cutting Pad. The Pad felt huge after working with the 4" pad all day:
Before
During
After
Then It was onto jeweling, which took about 8 hours with the 4" pads.
Finished up with my new favorite choice Race Glaze 42. Not sure why this stuff is not more popular. On pace with the SV stuff its the same Carnuba content as Saphir. Well anyway I tested it on my car and loved, will definitely be going with RG 55 as my staple wax.
Accidentally cool photo of the day...
The car was way too big to get good full shots in the garage, so hopefully I can get some at the show. Wood was protected with Swissvax Woodpolish. Tires not done yet in photos, but were finished up with Swissvax Pneu. Chrome will be done separately before the show when my RG Glass and Chrome shows up. Thanks for looking/reading. Any C&C Welcome:thumb:
Noticed that you were sitting directly on the concrete floor jeweling that rear quarter panel. To save my butt from getting flat and to keep my pants clean I use a 12"x18"x1" gardners kneeling pad.

Thanks for the tip, I have wicked bad knees from years of lacrosse so I am forced to sit. I will try and find one of those pads.

Great work, Sean! +2 on the kneeling pad. I use one of those too because years of baseball, soccer, skateboarding, basketball, the army, ninjutsu have destroyed my knees so these things are a lifesaver! Also, I acquired a "disorder" over the years from sitting on hard things (in the army) that would make things very unpleasant for me if I sat on the hard concrete for too long... do yourself a BIG favor and sit on something soft mate, you and your a$$ will thank you for it later !
