2002 Suzuka Blue Metallic S2k by Got_Leather

This car belongs to a close friend of mine. He bought the car roughly a year ago (maybe a little less) and I have done 2 maintenance details prior to this one. I knew the car needed a nice polish to really amp the level of gloss. At first, I wasn't much of a fan of this color, but after seeing the car more frequently I started to give in and now I'm really starting to like this Suzuka Blue by Honda. The car is also modded nicely. Mugen Front lip, suspension work, clear signals, and an Invidia exhaust that sounds like pure sex but EXTREMELY loud. Enough of me talking, onto some pictures.

The process for this car was as followed.

Wash via 2BM
Clay
Optimum Polish II via Green LC Pad @ 1400 RPM's
Chemical Guyz EZ Creme Glaze via White 3M Pad @ Speed 6 on PC
Opti-Seal via Red Euro Hand Applicator x2 (2 hours apart)
Optimum Car Wax v2 x2 (one before final pictures, one before customer pickup)

Wheels were cleaned with degreaser diluted 4 to 1 using EZ Detail Brush. Then they received Optimum Poli-Seal. Tires were treated with Extreme Tire Shine.

Upon arrival. Still looks decent from a few months back when it last received Opti-seal/OCW

Although the wheels were not caked with brake dust, they still needed a deep thorough cleaning

Driving on the interstate from school to home takes it toll on the front bumper

Using the MINI detail brush is a must for sports cars such as these with the rotors allowing very little space

The rest of the pictures are me using my new Nikon D60. I'm getting a little better, but slowly. It's alot more complicated than my old Sony. Any comments are appreciated as well on that. These came out good, but once I get the manual settings down, I can't wait to see the possibilities.

One of my favorite shots for some reason

Put the top back up for a few shots

I was happy with the gloss level achieved

Wheels came out nice. Poli-Seal does a great job.

Exhaust tip and canister were treated with Optimum Metal Polish

Nice DJ...glad to see you're getting the hang of the DSLR. Now just get past page 3 of that book and you'll be golden!

Todd referred a book to me. So far it's helped and I'm only on page 21. It's called Understanding Exposure.
