Toyota Supra Turbo DSport magazine / 1645hp

DragSport.com - DSport Magazine - Featured Article - Autobanh's "Big Red" Supra Sports Big Turbos For 1645 WHP

I don't have any pics of the actual detailing, it was done back in late March, but this is a car I work on both mechanically and detailing wise that is in this month's DSport. The same car will be in Modified in August, on the cover.

Sir, I don't mean to be a jerk and I do think it's awesome that your client's car is in a magazine but is this your idea of a click and brag??

You say you detail it and work on it but yet you don't have even one pic of the car before or after of the actual work you've done or at least talk about what you've done with it to make it shine or whatever.....??

I believe what you're claiming so I'm not questioning your integrity, just the fashion in which you deliver it.

Seriously you've got to bring something more to the table....

Whoever did the paint matching of that car should be fired. Nothing was blended correctly to the car's original Renaissance red color.

Re: Toyota Supra Turbo DSport magazine / 1645hp

I posted this up before I left the house today so i was in a hurry. The day I detailed this car, I detailed 2 other Supras for the Supra nationals here in Houston, so I didn't have a minute to spare to take any pics at all.

The paint was like that when the current owner bought it so nothing that could be done at this time. It also ran 243+ mph in the standing mile, so it's not just a dyno queen.

Here's what I used:

Megs 85 with LC 4" orange pad on a Makita at 1500rpm
Megs 80 with LC 4" black pad on a Makita at 1000rpm
Klasse AIO with LC 4" black pad on a PC at speed 4
Megs 26 wax (I may be wrong about the number) by hand

I have a few other pics I'll post up of the car after I detailed it twice in two weeks for two different magazines.

Thanks for talking a bit more about it. I really like reading and hearing about the different combos people use and such.

Did you happen to see any high HP black Supras up at that mile race that look pretty stock? I did a few in Houston that might have been there.

It seems to happen on just about every supra that has been repainted. The bumpers never match even if the whole car was painted at the same time.

I know because its like that on mine lol

Ok, too bad, I'd love to hear how his Supra's did. I'm about to come back to take care of his Vipers in a week, they're putting out about the same numbers as this Supra you just did....pretty crazy.

Yeah Bob is good people, a long time friend. His drag Supra is mainly for 60-130 events, he holds the current record in that. His street Supra doesn't see to much action from what i know, but he'll take it and his Viper on cruises.

The supra really looks good. The design.. detailing .. and all that.. Such a nice car to drive.. but the toyota parts for this one is a bit pricey though.
