06 Ferrari 430 spider correction

This car is classified as a "problem child" detail, two plus years of track duty and neglect it was time to retire it of the track as the owner is buying a 430 challenge car foe specific use(thank the heavens).

This car was wrapped by Premier (venture clear film) over the entire car except for the area behind the hoops and the engine decklid, with SEVERE water etch on the film I had a real battle with this job along with filth on every surface of the car inside and out.

WASH:P&S citrus hand wash
CLAY: GI fine green clay
WHEELS: GI wheel gel
TIRES:GI signature tire dressing
TRIM: GI TRV
INTERIOR: GI interior cleaner
LEATHER: GI satin leather polish

CORRECTION

Vinegar wipe down, followed by heat gun treatment and CG water spot treatment

POLISH: combo of GI evo cut and Menzerna PO85RD with GI EVP pad prime with rotary and Festool DA on highest setting

Painted areas needed wool pad correction with Megs 105 and EVP followed with GI evo cut and GI fast cut foam, then finish polishing with combo of GI evo polish and EVP and PO85RD, then CG acrylic glaze with the Flex DA and GI 100ppi finish foam pad

The "before pics" oh yah this was going to be fun

Look at the water spots here I almost cried when I opened the engine decklid

Interior pics before

The gel doing work

Painted areas thru the correction steps

After 105 and grey wool

Foam pad step

Ready for fine polishing

Example of water spots on the film

Corrected(after much effort)

Rember the water spots on the decklid?? all gone

Engine tightened up

the rear window was in need of some slight correction

50/50 shot

finished product

Where the car lives, nice digs............understatement

After interior pics

Well at least he uses it like it was designed to be used. Great job.

I am in love with that garage! It must have been a pleasure to work there. Looks remote. I like remote, no interruptions.

Nice work.

I can't believe the wheels were chrome. I seriously thought from the first picture that they were just dirty bronze wheels.

Close, not chrome but ball polished.

Very nice work as usual Bob! Most people would have ran away from that one...

What was the process on the rear "window"?
