1 weekend, 1 castle, 1 racetrack and 22 Ferraris

Hi all! I hope you all had a great weekend because I know I sure the hell did . I was invited by the Ferrari dealership to a Ferrari party this weekend at Hotel Hertelendy and then to the Hungaroring today to play with big boy's toys... wow. My small fee, if you want to call it a fee, for the whole weekend was washing all the cars for the guests as they arrived to the hotel. Didn't have to think twice about accepting that offer ! Here's the pics and the story:

We met at the dealership at the butt crack of dawn 0530. Robi was in the California... Now technically I was supposed to be in this car, but...

I got stuck with Gábor in this animal... I know, what a shame .

Józsi and this young lady were in the white Scaglietti and the owner of the dealership and his wife in the blue Scaglietti.

Me in the Scud

When we arrived to the castle. No this isn't the medieval-style castle that pops into mind; it's a modern-day castle with a pond, hunting grounds, skeet shooting range, driving range, horses a helicopter landing pad, a landing strip and plenty of other stuff that none of us would normally ever use or even need .

Pretty overcast day which was good because we couldn't wash the cars in the hangar...

Getting everything set up

The caretaker at the hotel provided us with tools and cleaning supplies to do our work... he really shouldn't have.

After punting the hotel's wash bucket a few meters we were able to start with the Scaglietti. The sun was still playing peek-a-boo with us but for the most part it was still pretty cool outside.

Gábor dressing the wheels

Me accessing the disaster of having 5 willing hands to help me, with no clue about what they're doing. I had to give these guys a crash-course in washing cars properly and as scratch-free as possible.

Concentrate on the car, Jesse...

Attila had a "hard" time trying to concentrate, as well

Right about this time is when the sun came out and started baking everything... we still hadn't gotten into the rhythm of working with each other yet, because everyone wanted to do everything (snow foam, wheels, etc.). Right about this time about 1/2 of the California was washed and an o-ring on my PW lance broke :yikes:. I managed to rig the PW so at least we could rinse it off, but by that time it was too late... the suds had already started to dry on the car I'd just spent two days on polishing . Even if I'd just taken off the hose and rinsed it with that, it still would have been spotty, because Hungary is infamous for it's hard water; it only took a few seconds to dry in that heat.

We took a break for lunch and thankfully when we got back, the side of the hangar provided us with a bit of shade. Each car was foamed, rinsed, washed with Sour Power using the 2BM (my help had a hard time understanding and sticking to that method ), then dried with my new mini leaf blower jobby and then wiped completely dry with a MF. The wheels were addressed with Organizone G1 wheel cleaner (safe for ceramic brakes because it's PH neutral once mixed with water) and assorted brushes. The snow foam (InstaFinish Superfoam) did and excellent job of loosening up the assorted bugs and road grime on the cars. The tires were dressed with InstaFinish Premium Protect All.

And of course I left my signature in all of the guests' cars... Tic Tacs and a business card

My new wash monkeys in action. They actually did a great job once we got into the swing of things and they really enjoyed learning how to wash a car correctly .

Re: 1 weekend, 1 castle, 1 racetrack and 22 Ferraris

Józsi, the shop manager, had to do some diagnostics on a couple of the cars.

A couple shots of the F430 I did a couple of weeks ago

Once all the cars were clean, we headed in for a beer or 3 while the guests got to try out some of the cars they don't own yet (Scaglietti, Scuderia and California). The police closed off the entire road for about 2km so they could play .

Well, it's a good thing we washed these... it looked like it was in a paintball war with all the huge, yellow bugs that sacrificed their lives in the name of highway exploration...

This guy's just purchased a California but it hasn't arrived yet so he came in his Porsche... he felt like the black sheep coming to a Ferrari party with it so he parked outside, behind the trees .

Here's one of my 599 GTB customers trying the Scuderia on for size... he wants one now

The Scud I polished for 2 days...

Yes, that's a water blade for the windows .

Talking to a potential California customer... yup, the lady.

My work looks even better when these things are next to it

All the cars placed in front of the castle. The guy with the Porsche decided to swollow his pride and park on the estate... far away from the Ferraris .

Some gratuitous porn shots

Not my doings... will polish soon!

The California I polished last week... don't mind the water spots, they'll be addressed this week

Re: 1 weekend, 1 castle, 1 racetrack and 22 Ferraris

Party's about to start

Weather finally cooled down

Gábor's party face

The next day all the guests were escorted by the police down to the Lake Balaton to a yacht club to have lunch and watch the Formula-1 race, but we went back to Budapest to pick up our son for a birthday party.

Monday at the Hungaroring... here's the players

This is one of 2 new courtesy cars that the dealership got. It's an Abrath Fiat 500, Ferrari Edition with 160HP and it' scoots... no really it does. List price: 28,500 Euros :yikes:

Re: 1 weekend, 1 castle, 1 racetrack and 22 Ferraris

Me being strapped into a Ferrari Challenge for a couple of laps with a professional driver... I brought plenty of tissues just in case any other fluids besides drool "come" out of me and a clean pair of boxers . OMG it was amazing... we were going about 230km/hour and approaching a wall that was getting bigger and bigger. I started pumping my air brake on the passenger side, but to no avail. Finally at the last second, he slammed on the brakes and took a 90 degree turn going about 95km/hour (seat had to be cleaned at that point). Holy poo... after today I'll never look at a roller coaster the same way again...

I took a close friend of mine who's a huge Ferrari fan. Giving him his first opportunity to ride in a Ferrari meant a lot to me.

I went for a ride in a Scuderia with another guy that showed up late, which was also fantastic because the guy really had a feel for the track... here's a video which really doesn't do the experience justice, but...

Some other cars that showed up, but weren't allowed to play

Well, like I said, I had a fantastic weekend... Oh and BTW, I have appointments now with almost everyone that was there .

Thanks for reading and for the Playboy subscribers, thanks for "reading"!

- Jesse

Wow, I feel sooo bad for you. I would HATE to have to work with all those cars and then get the chance to track them lol.

Great work.

Someone brought a Lambo to a Ferrari track event? Really? Dear God!

Looks like a fun time. I've never really gotten into Ferrari's too much, though the 355 is about an attractive a car as I've seen. Love to have one of those.
