Tailored Automotive Detailing: 2008 BMW X5

Year: 2008
Make: BMW
Model: X5 (Custom Ordered)
Color: Alpineweiss III
Mileage: Mileage Unsure (Over 20k)

This belongs to a regular client of mine. After the last detail, I had recommended a 2 step correction of the paint for this detail and I booked him for a full day’s worth of work. Also, he and his wife own a pair of Jack Russell Terriers that travel in this vehicle, so there is always a good amount of dog grooming to be done.

Well, after I washed and clayed the car I realized one thing….this is in great shape. Very minimal swirls and other paint concerns (other than the bird bomb I found when checking it in etched itself in) and no dog hair! I don’t know what happened to their dogs, but the interior was in really good shape.
SO…..a 10 hour detail turned into 4. I didn’t see the point of taking off clear yet (especially on white) and it allowed me to spend more of my focus on finer points like the engine and side steps.

Yeah, they are crazy bald. He is getting new ones on Tuesday. Can you believe BMW quoted $2500 for those? It's crazy.

Thanks Pat! We've been picking up steam since the beginning of April. I can finally pay off the flooring!
