Rhino Auto Care: 23' Doral In&Out

Just wanted to post up a couple pics of a boat I did the other day. You can see by the pics that it was fairly oxidized. In person it basically looked like a white chalkboard. Every inch of the interior was pretty well "Used" and needed a good workout. BTW, this is my first time documenting my work so I really didn't do a great job with the pictures. Pics taken with Sony DSC-S90 so go easy on me.

BEFORE:

AFTER: Makita 9227c Rotary w/wool and 3M Restorer&Wax
50/50 Right Side

50/50 Left Side

FINISHED:

Thanks for looking!

Looks great, any pictures of the entire boat finished? You really did a nice job on the carpet. Hope you were paid well.

Re: Rhino Auto Care: 23' Doral In&Out

Thanks, guys. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a full shot of the boat completed because by the time I finished polishing above the rub line, I was running out of daylight and it was raining the next day when I delivered it. I don't mind doing boats so much. I've been detailing cars for almost 10 years so I enjoy doing something different from time to time. I have another boat coming to me tomorrow, so I'll try to do a better job of documenting it.

That carpet difference is huge! What was your process to extract?

Simple. I was looking at the following thread one day and after seeing the poster's results I had to try this stuff out. I simply sprayed it on, let it soak for a minute, scrubbed with a brush and an MF towel, and vacuumed it up with my Ridgid vac. From now on, I'll never be without Folex.

Folex saves ruined interior carpet! (see pics)

Looks good! How much does a job like that run? It would be pretty cool to polish one but it seems like you would use a lot of product and time.

Product usage was very low, as I'm fairly conservative. If a job requires extra product, that's fine, but I'm usually pretty good at conserving. Don't be afraid to dive into this stuff. Boats can sometimes be a headache, but can also be alot of fun.

This particular job didn't pay nearly what it should've, but the guy was pretty much at his limit, as he had just purchased the boat and with other repairs being done around the engine compartment( water pump), he used up his whole budget.. I accepted his offer on the grounds that he let's me do his 2 cars next month. He's also the kind of guy who will tell all his buddies to come and see me, so in the end it all works out. I just regret that I didn't get more after pictures. I was really happy with the turnaround.

Wow that Folex kicked that carpet's a$$!

Great work. I can't imagine how exhausting it would be to detail a boat!
