LI Detailers Detailed: 2006 Lexus IS250 Correction

This is actually my car and it has not had much TLC since the last time it was fully detailed around November. The car has its fair share of swirls but the weather unfortunately has been miserable these past couple of weeks. I was however lucky enough to get 1 sunny day to take some pics. My car will be entered in Hot Import Nights on sat 5/16 so wish me luck!

2006 Lexus IS250 AWD

Wash
- CG CWG Foam
- 2 bucket method w/ Meg Gold class

- EZ detail brush
- Zymol wheel brush
- Meg's APC on Wells

Clay
- Riccardo Yellow clay
- Adams QD as lube

Polishing
- SIP on Orange CCS
- 106FF on White CCS
- Flex 3401

LSP
- Swissvax Cleaner Fluid on Blue CCS
- Swissvax Finesse by hand
- Swissvax Autobahn on wheels
- CG Barebones on wells & engine
- BlackWOW on trim

Glass
- Meg's Glass Cleaner

Interior
- Lexol Leather Cleaner
- Lexol Leather Conditioner
- 303
- Meg's APC
- Woolite + water
- Steam w/ TR5
- Extract carpets with Durrmaid Heated Extractor

Exhaust
- Optimum Metal Polish
- #0000 Steel Wool

Befores: Not many due to crappy weather.

Foam with CG CWG in Glimour Foamer

After the wash. Paint is a little dull

This is to give an idea of the swirls I am dealing with

Some more swirls

and more...

My test panel = PERFECTO!

I wish I had more of the process under halogen but it was crazy bad weather and it was finals week for me so I had to do this quick in between studying.

I also had a friend help me finish her off lol.

Finally some SUN!!!

gotta love when the flakes really POP!

Dont mind the hood lol. I was fixing my headlight to get out the condensation. For some reason there was a small puddle on the bottom of my headlight?!?!

Baby got back! lol

That picture is awesome. For a daily driver, that is freakin sweet! Right stance, right wheels, right lights (blacked out mildly), right trim on the windows, right emblem, right exhaust (a little big for my taste, but it works on yours!), right tires, right spoiler...... and I'm spent! Beautiful car. Are you mobile and take that to your clients locations or do they bring it to you? I'd love to pull up in a car that tastefully modded.

Oh and great job on the detail too! My daily has been neglected for the last 2 months with 60hr work weeks stealing my time

Car looks great! Good luck at HIN. Trying to debate if I wanna enter my car this year or not.

Question: what did you cover up when you detailed the engine bay?

Is the radiator support suppose to be that color? I think i'd mask and shoot that. Over all it looks really classy! Just right!

Thanks! Yes I do use my car for mobile detailing. Once I get my body kit on, the rear tips will look smaller and fit in with the car lol.

Basically I did not cover up anything. I just did a quick wipe down since I always keep my engine in a good condition. If you see anything electrical or exposed aftermarket intake filters, I would cover them up. Especially the battery.

I believe about 3 ounces of CW&G and 1 ounce of Gold class which helped add the extra foam. I love my dog but she has so many allergy's since she is a pure bread and is on steroids so that is why she is so heavy since the steroids make her hungry.

Thanks and yes for some reason lexus did that from the factory. Where it looks black, it is really the color of my car and depending on the color of your car, thats the color that is sprayed partially over the tan making it look crappy.
