Good job as always Todd... I've done a pull with my M3 vs one of those things from a rolling start of about 60 on the highway... I knew what the result was going to be I just wanted to see it haha... I can only imagine how much faster this one is!

TSC17- Thanks for posting this one! You did a great job on it and that's one *VERY* nice write-up, with great pics too

I'm a big fan of the panther-platform cars, and that's a lot of power for a trilogy setup! If it needs further development, he might want to check out Reinhart Performance Engineering (they're in FLA and Dennis Reinhart is a wiz with those cars).

Does it have the rear wheels widened or are they still stock width?

Jakerooni- While black is the most common, Maruaders came not only in black and silver, but also in Dark Toreador Red Metallic and they even made a small batch of blue ones.

Ivan...thanks.

Accumulator...thanks for all the kind words. I enjoy doing the in-depth write-ups. They take a bit of time, but they're well worth it IMO.

Somebody up in Detroit does the work for him...not too sure exactly who though. The owner is all about this Marauder, and he probably knows every major Marauder tuner in the country.

The wheels were definitely widened. I didn't know if they came that way from the factory or not, but the weld marks are pretty obvious.

Re: 542 RWHP sleeper sedan! Esoteric Auto Detail

TSC17- Thanks for the reply and the added info.

OK, I bet it's a Lidio (?sp?) car...he's in the Detroit area and he builds some really nice stuff. Though I'm a little surprised one of his cars exhibited the need for a little more tweaking.

I kinda figured the wheels had to be wider (the welds aren't there on stock ones), thanks for confirming. Very, very nice car, I bet he simply loves it.

I wonder if the owner is on MercuryMarauder.net

Great work Todd. I did my mother-in-law's Grand Marquis a few weeks ago, and there is a lot of paint on those cars!
You can pick one of these for around $16,000, a lot of car for the money.

Re: 542 RWHP sleeper sedan! Esoteric Auto Detail

Accumulator. I'm sure he's on that site.

The tweaking is most likely just in the rear end (broke the posi), and getting some slicks on it for the track. I should have been more specific in the original post. I think he's really happy with the way it's running as it just came back from Detroit here recently.

mc2hill...thanks. These aren't cars, they're ships!

Re: 542 RWHP sleeper sedan! Esoteric Auto Detail

Superior job Todd.

I am especially fond of the engine work you did.

As for the tires (er...um...tar) on the body, I've been there before with a razor blade. Super time consuming but such a nice attention to detail to take the wheels off and take care of it.

My question is: Why take the trouble to bend tire brushes though if you ended up taking the wheel off? Maybe you only took off the rear set.

Anyway...stellar!

George...thanks! Yep, I missed that one. I used Optimum Opti-Bond (x2).

David...Thank you as well. You're correct in that the front wheels didn't need to be removed.

Ah, OK...that makes sense. Heh heh, if he does get slicks the new posi might not last all that long either!

Re: 542 RWHP sleeper sedan! Esoteric Auto Detail

Todd,

The car looks fantastic! Excellent work as usual!

And yes, this is a Lidio-built vehicle, and I am on mercurymarauder.net and motorcitymarauders.com as Rick-n-Miami.

I'll bring the Marauder back to Todd later this year!

Best,
Rick
