1997 Toyota Supra 15th Anniversary Edition

First C&G in a long time. This is a real nice example of an older car with SUPRA nice curves and clean lines. 3 owners, all the papers, and never beat down. Apparently, in '97 only 28 Supras were built with Black on Black and 6 speed in the Targa. Still modern looking after all of these years. The owner originally had contacted me to polish the wheels and then decided to give the car a once over. I knew I'd have it for 2 days so I gave it a little more on the house. The paint needed to be jeweled yet, but I was out of time and, in the end, I was very happy with the results and so was the owner.

Process:

Exterior- Wash (Sheepskin Mitt/RinseBucket/DP Xtreme Foam/AG Foam Gun), Clay (Sonus SFX Green and Glyde Lube), OPT Compound (Orange Pad), OPT Polish (White), Supernatural Wax "spit-shined" with Crystal Mist.

Interior- Vacuum, Vinyl Cleansed (TOL APC cut 10:1), Vinyl Conditioned (WG Vinyl and Rubber), Leather Cleansed (WG Leather Cleaner), Leather Nourished (WG Leather Conditioner).

Wheels: Removed and Cleansed with Tarminator and Surf City Road and Grime and Various brushes, 3 Step Polish (WG Metal Werk), Sealed (WG Metal Sealer)

Engine: Degreased and Cleansed (TOL APC and Tarminator, Surf City Grime Remover) Dressed (CD2)

Light Lenses: Coumpounded, Polished, and Sealed

Glass: IG

Seals: Dressed and Protected with Gummi Pflege Stift 'Rubber Care Stick'

Trim: Dressed (PB Trim Restorer)

Tires: Cleansed (Tarminator), Dressed (WG Tire Gel)

**Note** My Brinkmann started to die in the before shots, ooops!

Undercarriage (Wheel Wells and Coilovers): Degreased, Cleansed, and Dressed (CD2)

I know. I'm with you on that. I guess we'd not have any classics if they didn't?

The owner is also currently rebuilding a 93 RX-7. He's dropping a "new" engine in this week. Another example of a car with classic lines and motor for days.

Re: 1997 Toyota Supra 15th Anniversary Edition

Paint looks a TON better! Well done, I have a supra on the agenda, any pointers you learned?

You need to sell the owner on recon the leather seats! I assume they are not top coated leather?

Cheers,
GREG
