Lamborghini Gallardo, now with less burnt window trim, BMW 330

2003 BMW 330. Yeah, posting this first or y'all won't notice it.

Regular customer, see this car once or twice a year. Had minor to moderate swirls and some waterspotting on the trunk lid.

Using my G110 with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and #105, followed by #205 with a yellow Meg's pad:

Same process for the entire car, followed by Wolfgang Fuzion.

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo, now with less burnt window trim, BMW 330

2004 Lamborghini Gallardo. This was not an all out, balls to the wall 40 hour correction. The car is going into the body shop soon to have the front and rear bumpers repainted (chips up front and small dent in the rear) and maybe the hood too. The owner wanted it shined up for now.

What was supposed to be a sunny day was marred by a few hours of clouds, plus his driveway is surrounded by live oaks, which are still dropping their seeds pod things so I ended up working mostly in the garage and used my camera flash for the before pics.

Other than the hood, not too bad for a 5 year old car.

The hood got Meguiars #105 via G110 using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad, then for the rest of the car and the hood, I used Optimum Compound (new version) with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and Optimum Finish with a blue Swirlbuster finishing pad. Not 100% flawless but a very noticable improvement, especially for (mostly) two steps and a DA buffer on some very hard paint.

The sun was peaking through the garage windows so I was actually able to get a sun shot.

This is how the car looked prior to polishing but after an Optimum No Rinse wash and using Dupont Clay (which is apparently repackaged Clay Magic).

This is after the above polishing steps and Wolfgang Fuzion.

Outside shots:

Leather cleaned with Woolite/water, carpets with BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner. Leather dressed with Leather Master's Leather Vital and the tiny bits of plastic/vinyl were dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus. Carbon fiber cleaned with Clearkote's Quikshine.

The engine and bay were pretty clean, wiped down with ONR, dressed with Armor All.

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo, now with less burnt window trim, BMW 330

I also detailed my road bike the other day. Degreased the rear cassette, front sprocket, chain and derailleurs with WD-40 and washed the bike with a waterless wash Everett Glass of Clearkote asked me to test. I don't know if he actually makes it or if it is a product he is going to purchase and relable. Honestly, I think the best market for a waterless wash is the bike stores. So much easier to spray and wipe than hose down your bike, blow it out with compressed air and dry. Anyway, it came out pretty clean in the end.

Not bad for a 10 year old bike that I got in March 2007 and have ridden nearly 6000 miles since that time.

Mavic Open Pro wheels, Shimano RX100 components (basically 105's with a different finish), Bontrager Race X Lite tires, BG Phenom 143 seat, Speedplay Light Action pedals.
