Teaser pic: horrific Trans Am

I will be spending the next week or two on this car. Thought I'd put up a teaser pic for now Have to say i'm frustrated with the camera, the pictures HARDLY show how bad this paint is, I mean the pictures really do no justice to how bad it is.

This is after 2 compounding steps with M105 and yellow SOLO Wool pad on the Makita rotary. It removed most of the deep scratches, but there is still a lot left. I will be wetsanding this part, and likely most of the car as well.

*added wetsanding pics at bottom*

After wetsanding and compounding. No polishing yet!

Also, if you have some Hi Temp Extreme Cut, try that on the sanding marks. It's more gritty and cut through wet sand marks alot easier for me. Its been that way on more than one occasion.

Wow that's nutty, and GM clear is usually above average hard too. Good luck man, she's gonna look slick though with that NBM all cleaned up.

Got a link to where I can get that? There are two spots left that I can't seem to get the sanding marks out. They aren't bad, just barely there, but I see them. I dunno, maybe i use a little too much pressure on those spots.

Re: Teaser pic: horrific Trans Am *UPDATE*

I haven't been able to do much on the car since it was dropped off 2 months ago *eek*. But client doesn't mind lol. I did decide to wetsand the entire car.

Wetsanding is done!! After 55 hours of wetsanding, here is what she looks like right now.

And a few side by side shots, so you can see kinda what it will look like when finished, just keep in mind though the car is very dusty at the moment.
